Thousands rally in support of gay marriage ban

- Thousands of supporters of California's ban on same-sex marriage rallied in Fresno and San Diego on Sunday in what organizers described as a celebration of traditional wedlock and a thank-you to the California Supreme Court for upholding their voter-approved measure.

In Fresno, about 3,000 demonstrators -- the same number who turned out the day before on the other side -- were told not to accept being called bigots because they support traditional marriage.

Exactly! Just that we don't want interracial couples getting married doesn't mean we're bigots! We're just protecting our traditions!

I am a long time married heterosexual that believes in the institution of marriage. That being said I also feel that allowing my homosexual friends to marry will not detract in any way from marriage in general. Maybe all those self rightious Christians need to work on the heterosexual divorce rate instead. As it is one out of two heterosexual marriages end in divorce.

It is not self righteous. Our country was founded on principles and in case like gay marriage, those principles are being eroded. Activist judges are making this decision. That is not how this is supposed to work. Please bring to me where in our US constitution it states that marriage is protected and should be open to a man and man or woman and woman.

What is next, Can I marry my brother? My cousin?" In extreme cases, my pet? My God, can we have anything kept traditional and sacred in this country? I was great friends with a homosexual couple next door. We used to hang out. They were the sweetest guys going. But the bottom line is that it is not a traditional life style that warrants the right to marry under the constitution.

Right on, Art. We have to start pushing back. This also involves our shedding the yoke of the RINO's who are still hanging on, telling us we must kiss liberal ass in order to succeed!

The left likes to claim victim status.

It is our job to show their bad ideas make victims of us.

People gathering to make their voices heard is what America is about. Even if I disagree, I love to see people taking up their civic duties and protesting, Doesn't mean I won't meet them in opposition though. I will...like always.

Those people disgust me. I don't care if people have opinions on gay marriage, that's their own business. But forcing other people to do, or not do, things is wrong. I bet those people are against forced marriage, right? How is forcing someone to not get married any better?

I know they have a right to rally. They're just showing what they think is right...

But I really don't agree with them.

Protect marriage? Yeah, let's protect marriage, let Bob and Jane get married, have children and spread their hate to their kids.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.
    Ignorant bastards.

Why is it you say you support free speach? Why do you say you support being open minded?

What you actually means is free speach and being open minded only when it is your immoral way.
