Ha, getting out of the gambling game means no more government grants, and I'm fine with that logic, but there are a hell of alot of grants given out to keep America going, and students in college, so your gonna bankrupt much of America by stoping the grants, but I bet Romney agrees with you on that point, let those damn students pay for an education on their own dime, not the taxpayers, lol, to bad he's not gonna win.

I've been in WA and couldn't get out of there fast enough. The whole west coast, while beautiful, is just plain nuts. I feel sorry for any sane people left there.

College grants have made tuition costs go through the roof in the last 2 decades. The more govt paid the more colleges have charged. No-brainer. Now I'm paying out the butt because I'm on the cusp of making too much to qualify for any of that easy money. So I pay LIST PRICE and I'm certainly not Rockefeller.

There are far to many that should be taken off welfare and made to work. Far to many that think that we owe them something they never earned. It is time to turn these thing over to help organization and the Churches. The people learned back then how to walk on their own.

I have no problem with public assistance to "truly needy" people. Unfortunately, here in America, there are far too many people who make a career of "gaming" the system. If these individuals put as much effort into making their lives more productive, they wouldn't need public assistance.
