This kid got an A+ for this paper
BY A 15 yr. OLD SCHOOL KID
who got an A+ for this entry
(TOTALLY AWESOME)!
Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer:

"New Pledge of Allegiance"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
If you aren't ashamed to do this, Please pass this on..
Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'
You!
    Before they expelled God and the Ten Commandments from school the problems were chewing gum, talking in class and spit wads. Since then it's been murder, drugs and teen pregnancy run amok.
    I have read this before and whoever wrote it deserves an A+. Read Mother Teresa's speech she gave a a presidential breakfast during clinton's reign. It got a standing ovation except for clinton and wife and gore.
    She describes why our nation has gone in the toilet. She is spot on.
    I don't know whether a boy really turned this in. But I've seen this before, many times.
    I've heard this before, the truth is, he is misguided.
    He can pray all he wants, he can carry the bible around all he wants, he can speak to others about his religion if he wants. What he cannot do however is force anyone else to pray or read the bible or follow his religion.
    Therefore the school cannot force any student to do so either, he is allowed to pray on his own time as long as it doesn't become a class tradition where everyone has to take part.
    He can even start his own Christian group if he wants and ask others to join in and they can all pray together and discuss the Bible as much a they please.
    Can he honestly be upset that no one is forcing their religion on others anymore?
    I went to private Christian school when growing up, and I think the amount of pressure they used on me and other students to be Christian is one of the factors that drove me away from Christianity in the first place. Even though I was Christian when I entered the school, 8 years of forced prayer and Bible readings and these sessions that consisted of lies and brainwashing, of seeing the other students who were not Christian discriminated against, I never wanted to go near that place again.
    That's just America, we've had Christianity away from our schools for some time (Even though it's a majority Christian nation) and we have none of those problems, bullying isn't such a huge issue, apart from two school shootings (Done by two guys that were friends) that happened some time ago there has been no threat of murder, teen pregnancy just doesn't seem to happen here either; it's so rare that it's not even spoken of. I've never heard of drug use or deals happening in school, apart from a few school musicians going up to the hills to share a joint during their break.
    Can you think of any other reason that's happening in the states?
    Nope. Plenty of statistics and time lines show this is the reason.
    I don't know, I'd say the USA has become a lot more socially diverse and certain people grow up in very poor neighborhoods without much guidance from parents, grandparents or neighbors. Back in the 1950s the USA was a very different country, socially especially.
    I honestly cannot answer what has caused the education system to change, but from personal experience, I cannot say enforcing a single religion is the answer to make it better, although it might help some students, I feel religion should always be left to the individual and the family.
    It could be more of the role of the teachers, too many teachers simply don't care about the students and the students feel they don't need to respect them, especially if the school is in a poor neighborhood.
