YES [explain why you think so].

form of smoke.
Logically, no. He had an very agressive form of cancer, and we really do not know when he found out about it. They said it was shortly after he was fired, but they also told us it was a "very treatable form" which is not true, certainly not for an 85 year old.
However, as far as I am concerned, I blame his death on specific people. Firstly, the university's former president, Graham Spanier, who has been working for years to have Paterno removed as head coach, while he hid the Jerry Sandusky incident from the University's Board; a true scumbag. Secondly, the university's former senior vice president for finance and business, Gary Schultz, who had the Sandusky incident put on his desk (as he WAS the administrator whose job it was to deal with it), and he did, nothing; a very questionable human being this man. Thirdly, the university's former assistant football coach, Jerry Sandusky, who with his lack of morals, ethics, and basic human decency has tarnished one of the greatest college football programs, that was built over decades by the hard work of many good, decent people. May he burn in Hell. Fourthly, I blame the university's Board of Directors, who should all be replaced immediately, with basic Penn State alumni, no CEOs, no powerful and influential people, just e...

May he burn in Hell. Fourthly, I blame the university's Board of Directors, who should all be replaced immediately, with basic Penn State alumni, no CEOs, no powerful and influential people, just everyday alumni who love Penn State. And finally, anyone who worked to have Joe Paterno removed as head coach, I blame them also. They have been busy for years. They got their wish, and they killed the a good, decent man while they were at it. Congratulations you vile filth!
When you are granted a treasure such as Joe Paterno, you do not act like The Pennsylvania State University did. It is an embarrassment, to the university, its alumni, and to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. How Jerry Sandusky was dealt with, and how Joe Paterno was treated suggests there is something rotten in the state of the Happy Valley. That must be changed.
God bless Joe Paterno for his years of commitment to his student athletes, who he instilled the value of education first, before athletics. God bless Joe Paterno for his commitment to Penn State, his name will always be synonymous with the university. May God welcome you to the great football field in the beyond Coach Paterno, we were blessed to have had you for so long. May God comfort the Paterno family during this difficult time, especially his wife, and children. Your husband, and father was a great man, and will be remembered as such.
