Then how do you explain that our economy has done better under every Democratic president than under Republican presidents? Bush and his tax cuts for the wealthy did nothing to produce jobs. All he did was widen the gap between the wealthiest few and basically wiped out the middle class. We all just want a fighting chance and the plans of Romney and the rest of his ilk will just widen it even further. I shudder to think what will happen if he has his way. I have a hard time trusting anyone that parks his money in Swiss Bank accounts and the Cayman islands. And if there may be nothing wrong at all with his tax returns. 1. I think the federal government should treat every individual and every business 100% equally. Any variability from that breeds corruption and is unfair. I do think that the federal government should be limited to the powers specifically prescribed in the constitution and the rest of the powers shall go to the state , municipality, and the individual. Anyone can access their local politicians but only the cronies can access the president or senators. They do not know us and do not represent us.

It is not vague. There should be a flat tax, no exemptions, same for everyone and every business. The federal government should not be in the business of charity, that treats individuals unfairly, of everyone and every business had to be treated equally, there would be no special loans, loopholes, or really any reason to bribe public officials except on spending, which will be minimal. It is the absolute best way to reduce corruption.
