The women of Texas posted 4,000 comments on Governor Perry's home page. Some posted about their periods, sarcastically asking his advice on all things menstrual. Others excoriated him for defunding the Texas Women's Health Program. One woman posted: “I would like your opinion since I can’t make medical decisions myself being a woman and all’’

Governor Perry is well known as a foe of women's reproductive choice. Recently, he's cut off federal aid to women's health clinics because some of them are administered by Planned Parenthood.

Even though those clinics don't provide abortions, Perry and the Texas Whiners (that would be the state legislature) decided they don't want that $31 million flowing from federal coffers through clinics which include some run by Planned Parenthood.

The Texas Women's Health Program gives pap smears, cancer screenings, birth control and other health services to 130,000 low income women. I wonder if 'Dr. Perry' is going to provide for those out of his own pocket.

God forbid that "Dr. Perry" would pay for their health services out of HIS own pocket...He'd be called a SOCIALIST, COMMIE, MARXIST!

Or worse - he might ask the Texas legislature to raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for those services. Hahahahahaha! SO not going to happen.

    4000 comments...........Texas population is; 25,883,999 - that's 25 million.....

Rick Perry cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood because they provide abortions - killing babies. Obama retaliated by cutting off all Medicaid funding for all family planning in Texas if Governor Rick Perry didn't let Planned Parenthood clinics participate.

These woman could have gone to other clinics for health care but Obama completely cut them off. This is all a political ploy since Pelosi manufactured a 'conference' with a 30yr old college woman, Sandra Fluke over birth control and the Catholic Church, in an attempt to over ride the Constitution.

"The First Amendment to the United States Constitution provides that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ..."

No, potlach, they don't provide abortions when they serve the Texas Women's Health Program. This was just grandstanding by those a$$hats in the legislature and by Perry. All it did was get rid of $31 million from the feds and deprive a lot of poor women of health services.

    Well darn, I forgot to insert my link in that comment;

    http://www.plannedparenthood....

Planned Parenthood did provide abortions, but along the way they learned some tricks about how and where to send those wanting them. Kinda like ACORN, and all their little unnamed offshoots.

Perry was already out of the race for President when he did this. He is like me, a Christian against killing babies.

97% of abortions are provided by private gynecologists for cash, no insurance filed.

Unless they are billed under D & C - which is the most common way around the insurance regulations. I worked for an OB/GYN at one time. Saw way too much Luv. The "government" made this man very rich "servicing" poor women.

That is fraud. Honest Gyns bill them as D & E. Ob-Gyns make more money with other procedures anyway and with private insurance for those.

D & C is an acceptable procedure to bill insurance companies for and is done routinely.

if it doesn't involve abortion it is. If insurance companies find out otherwise a physician gets into deep doodoo. Besides most who perform abortion do not bill insurance, and accept only cash.

Audit Luv - Audit! You did not witness the procedures nor did you do the billing! I was IN the office and SAW what was taking place. Please don't try to tell me that I didn't see what I saw dear. Common practice in many places.

My dear Luv - I saw the paperwork - not the operation. The paperwork was ALL in order. I do happen to know that D & C's were performed for abortion purposes on a routine basis here in this country and most probably still are. Getting insurance companies to pay for medical services is all in the WORDING!

Most reputable Gyns do not commit fraud with insurance companies and those who do abortions most collect cash only for them.

Don't be condescending. I know several Gyn docs in my city. They fear our VA Board of Medicine suspending or yanking their licenses for crossing the line.

Most Ob-Gyn practices now have 70% overhead, and no checks or credit cards are accepted for abortions in my area. Supplys have gone up 25% in the last 3 years, Most provide health insurance, and 401Ks for their employees too.
  • jean luvguins 2012/03/24 23:36:24

Yes I am aware of their expenses and how many years d it takes to pay off school loans on top of office expenses? Malpractice too of course is a drop in the bucket.

No incentive for fraud found in the medical industry!

    Funding Opportunities
We work with several local and national abortion funds. There are NON-PROFIT organizations which raise money to help women seeking abortions. We are happy to help get you in touch with these groups if needed.

Cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard, any money orders accepted - Lovejoy Surgicenter does not accept personal checks.
