The vice-presidency is but a heartbeat away from the presidency, so I think this is a fair question to ask.

While paul ryan i don't think so
Sometimes, "experience" only means many years of doing the same thing over and over again.
Besides, guys like Biden have been in the game for going on 40 years ... and are we really any better off?
Should we just keep doing the same thing again and again, voting the same guys in again and again, and expect different results? That's the classic definition of insanity.
In addition,Biden has supported the Administration’s effort to reestablish leadership in the Asia Pacific, traveling to China, Japan, and Mongolia in August 2011 and completing an exchange of visits with China’s Vice President in February 2012, that country’s presumptive next leader.
And then there is Paul Ryan's foreign policy experience. Here is what he said about it...
“I voted to send people to war,” ( to FOX News, Carl Cameron. ) Yes, that 's it. As a congressman, Ryan voted for the 2002 Iraq Resolution which authorized President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq. He also voted in favor of the Iraq War troop “surge” in 2007.
“I voted to send people to war.” That is his entire foreign policy experience, which I must admit... is more than Romney has. Checking in on the Caymens doesn't qualify. Neither does riding a bicycle around France during the VietNam War.
