The United States Olympic team surpassed China for most Gold Medals and most total medals in 2012 Olympics. Rave this if you are proud of America's Olympic team.

+7I've been watching as much of the games as humanly possible, and I've been rooting for the US wherever they play! But I have also been charged up for Great Brittan and Australia as well. The Britts deserve to get a fair share for the National pride of hosting the games! They've done a bang up job! The Aussy's are a great bunch of folks too and are doing a kick-ass job as well! Great games for sure, I just wish it wasn't on NBC (Nothing But Crap) and in the future goes to another network!

When i heard these two things, i was like how is it that they can attack, American athletes, who represented America with honor and courage (yes i said courage) courage because one of the men's track team members finished a race with a broken left Tibia and helped America qualify to gold medal round.

It was right then and there i figured it out, those five are nothing but haters, they may have been joking, but when some one completes something so emotional as to win gold medals, i say they are entitled to any outburst short of giving the Finger.
Just my rant, Way to Go American Athletes and way to go all Athletes who competed.

on a side note, I don't just cheer for Americans, there were several non-Americans I cheered for greatly... obvious ones were the blind archer and the Blade Runner.
They represent the maw and paw small business's that dug deep in hard, inflationary, recessionary, times. And their parents that borrowed against their homes, if they are lucky enough to have any equity left; or homes for that matter.
This government is never there for support or help. All they know is steal steal steal lie lie lie kill kill kill. Have you not heard about the immigration problems? So many people coming here illegally we actually have border patrols... building a fence on the southern borders for prevention of so many sneaking into the country... they come from all nations, all trying to get to the land of the free and the land of opportunity that this great nation is? Any of those things ring a bell... it's on the news every day pretty much. Always a major issue in politics.
Spain, France and Italy were having the same problem. Their answer the same as ours "immigration." And actually the inflow and outflow to and from Mexico has cancelled itself. It's a net zero growth.

I remember some interview with a taxi driver from New York that was an immigrant, he loved America and when he was asked why, he said in America you can have three jobs, this is wonderful.
You think regular Americans appreciate such things like that? Most probably don't even think about it. There are so many things we are spoiled by and don't even know enough to realize it.
I don't see that love of country from the new immigrants as I did from the Italians, Irish, Polish etc who came by boat years ago to Ellis Island.
I live in Florida --lots of illegals who can't speak the language after 10 years here--lots of little foreign flags hanging from there rear view mirrors---they can kiss my proud Italian American ass
