EX-PRIEST ACCUSED OF ABUSING CHILDREN GETS TSA JOB AT PHILADELPHIA AIRPORT
I guess the TSA is trying to outdo itself in stupidity! A Catholic priest who was kicked out of the ministry over sexual abuse allegations now holds a position with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Philadelphia International Airport. Thomas Harkins, the former priest in question, was observed working at a highly-frequented area in the airport by CBS Philadelphia’s I-Team.
Harkins’ work area at the airport, which is reportedly between Terminals D and E, is a bustling place that sees thousands of people, including young children, pass through each day. Harkins previously served as a priest in Catholic churches throughout New Jersey until 2002, when he was accused of abusing two young girls (a new lawsuit being brought by a third women is now in process).

+1Sheesh..............I feel SO much safer. I am so glad I don't have to fly anymore.reply - Cal 2012/05/26 14:51:02 (edited)
Allegations does not equal a conviction. He's an innocent man. He would have had to go through background checks and all. I appreciate this poll's purpose to discredit the TSA.....but in my opinion it failed. I guess because someone, somewhere, at some time said something negative about him....he doesn't deserve a job. What a horrible society we have de-evolved into.reply - TasselLady 2012/05/26 14:35:01

+1Does that agency even care about its own image? This is the worst mistake the government ever made. It's high time to abolish that agency.reply
