It's always awkward when politicians take vacations, trying to be like the rest of us. They have to look like they are having family time, but usually it's all just a publicity stunt. There are forced fake family moments, and embarrassing pictures in bathing suits. The Obamas like to go to Martha's Vineyard. The Bushes were partial to Maine. Who does the fake vacation better?

No contest Obama--when the camera is off he does not walk with his kids or wife--I just saw this two weeks ago in Chicago. He looked depressed and stayed behind both just kind of sloshing along. His marriage is a fake. His kids were probably artificial inseminated because he is gay or Bisexual from all that I have read! George made sure no cameras were around when he visited the troops and Obama makes sure they are around!

I don't believe any of them are necessarily 'faking' their happiness unless it's for certain family photos (those things usually leave everyone a bit rustled). But aside from that, faking an entire vacation can prove difficult especially if you have kids. If the kids look fine and happy, I'm sure the photo is genuine. You can't put kids (especially younger ones) on auto-happy the moment paparazzi and whoever else shows up.

Although if any of the three families were to try and pull something of the sort off, I'd probably wager it on the Bushes most definitely.

Actually I doubt that any of them fake it when they are around family. All people love their kids and grandkids and enjoy being around them. You needed another box to check. None of the above. They all may disagree politically, but when it comes to spending time with their family, I am sure they all enjoy that and so that couldn't be construed as fake.. And any time off isn't fake time, it's fun time....I don't buy the fake time or fake vacation. The Bushes always seemed to be going to the ranch a lot, so that is why I selected them.

I hope I had not misbehaved in front of her all my life, because my mother told me that when I was born my grandma said that I wasn't going to make it in life. Perhaps she meant that I was going to live a full life, but a miserable one, because I think so far that's how it's going to be.

You know, the only reason these "families" are forced to fake it is because their audience is spoon-fed the nuclear family idea via mass media. In truth, if we all had to be "on" that much, we'd better appreciate the real effort it takes to portray an aura of consistent happiness/contentment. ...maybe then we'd be more forgiving when one of them frowns (heaven forbid).
