One out of the bunch actually read the sign and knew what it meant. Pretty sad that these are what is the future of this nation.

But more importantly, this is what the education system has done to America. It has crushed our ability to actually think and learn. We simply listen to what the media tells us and do what the government commands us to do.

It's especially sad because even the educators and administrators don' realize that they are doing this anymore because even they are a product of the system.

When a student fails to lean a lesson after being taught one hundred times one of two things is wrong. The lesson is wrong or the teacher is wrong. The dummification of america was done deliberately. America does not want its slaves to think. They want slaves who can be controlled by sound bites onTV.

These people definately need to stay on Mom and Dads insurance policy until they are 26.

I'm not surprised that most people didn't understand what was being asked. We don't really teach a diverse set of economic philosophy in the K-12 system. And most people don't take any form of Econ classes in college unless they are going into that field.

For the vast majority, economics comes down to capitalism versus communism.

All we learn in school is how to obey the media.

I'm a teacher and have been told to lower my standards or be fired. So I quit.

We need to increase the amount of alternative education programs there are in the United States so that we can break free of this system.

The lady that SHOUTED the impostor gave us proof. I would have responded with I agree, he gave us proof that he is a fraud. No wonder America is toast.

We have poured money into the educational system for several years now, and it seems to me that people are stupid not smarter.

That's the purpose of the education system.

The dumbing down of society.

realize, k-12 is a government run program, colleges that teach the teachers are gov't run agenda's. Sooooo many liberals in education that everyone has to win (we all get a ribbon). All the way through college I worked as several of large companies (UPS, Ford, Quad Graphics, etc). When I graduated, I went into industry working for a major military contractor then for Chrysler Corp. after 6 years in industry, I became a HS teacher. Only to find most other teachers have no F--KING clue what a job is.

Those who can do, do! Those who can't teach.

That's the American education system unfortunately; other nations have a very different setup: you have to actually know the material that you want to teach to the students.

I can do and teach and was hoping to make a difference. Yes I sure did, I have students from 12 years ago making 6 figures doing exactly what I taught them. however the democrat control and brainwashing of students is intollerable. and when I got threatened for holding my students to employability standards, that was enough. I make more money not teaching. I miss the opportunity to imrove the economy by actually teaching the students a marketable skill.

even worse, those that can't teach become administrators. Those that can't administrate work for DPI. where all the stupid educational gimicks come from. And none of which have any value in educating the kids.... just making more useless paperwork for teachers which interferes with teaching

Stop thinking that it's "Democrat". It's authoritarian control, regardless of what political title is associated with it.

oh, it's democrat. all the philosophies are purely agressive left. there isn't one core teacher willing to provide alternatives to the democrat agenda.

The point kir is trying to make is, there is no dem or rep. It is all one and the same. They all have the same agenda. Suck as much out of the taxpayer as possible without starting an armed revolt. Support the establishment, be a good slave. Don't ask questions, just obey.
