It is possible that he never really went to college. During that period of time there were a lot of groups selling college degrees by going into the University computers, coping someone’s record, and changing the name and a couple of grades. While you did not get the sheepskin, you could get a transcript forwarded upon request. I know of several people who did this. Computers systems have now gotten harder to get into but not back then. A lot of people have “bought” degrees.(AND BTW: BIRTH CERTIFICATES TOO!)
