Pat, yes, we are all workers, but not all of us are GOVERNMENT workers. Walker only restricted the 'bargaining rights' of GOVERNMENT workers... you know... those folks that bargain from both sides of the table. That's what you have with government. The unions are crony pals of the politicians and they control both sides of the table.
Look at the private sector (except for Barry's auto industry), if management gives the unions every thing they want, then management has to raise their prices to cover the higher costs of labor. Once that higher price becomes uncompetitive with others in that industry, the company either has to renegotiate the deal with labor, or they file for bankrupcy and go under. It's called checks and balances. Both unions and management know that you cannot kill the goose that lays the golden eggs for the company.
But with Gov't it's different. Government CANNOT go out of business. Government is a Monopoly. And Government ultimately, is FORCE...you HAVE TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Unlike the customers of PanAm, Eastern, American Motors and Studebaker, the "customers" of GOVERNMENT cannot choose to do business with the competition. Government therefore can charge (i.e. tax) whatever it pleases so as to fund the crony system that provides both management (...

The system effectively buys their benefits with the votes and campaign funds they bring to that table.
Walker has proven that the cycle of cronyism can be broken. Walker has proven that Obama, Reid, Pelosi and her Band of Flying Monkeys can be reigned in...
I think tomorrow morning, the nation's Government Employee Unions will be discovering saying to themselves: "I am afraid we have awakened a sleeping giant"
I love how that people are saying that it is the "children" that will suffer...really?!??! No, it's the children's financial future that we need to try to save! I am so glad that finally a state has said "YES" to fiscal responsibility and knowing what they can and cannot afford....
the thing I love most is that Walker is cutting "mandatory" union membership ...i have family members in the public sector that will be voting for anybody who does that -
I think that's called ANOTHER shellacking! The people of Wisconsin beat the special interests once again! Way to go Wisconsin, you've made another big step toward freedom today!

AWESOME! Jumping for joy doing the wave
Thank you Wisconsin
Say good bye Obummer!
Now the rest of us can get a government that works for US instead of for the crony 'good ol' boys'
This place is going to be a ghost town tonight. I predict nothing but crickets from the libs.
