This is awesome! It makes me feel even better that I contributed hard earned $$$ to allow it to happen.

Unions are fine, collective bargaining sucks and should be AGAINST the law.

7% of the entire state of Wisconsin is a lot of voter fraud Obama is going to have to overcome. This was a Democratic state. Just think what he and his renamed Acorn goons are going to have to accomplish in a swing state, and Romney is going to have as much money as he has. Look for the DOJ to get much more involved in the state's voter eligibility process.

You have already taken our country, and we want it back. The tsunami that your talking about, is the unlimited money that can be used in elections, in care of the 5 corporate fascist in the Supreme Court, to your Plutocrats who have hijacked our democracy. The American people will rise up against your Oligarchs, and little puppets of the Oligarchs, like Snot Walker, will end up in the trash heap of history. We are tired of getting stepped on by your fascist Tea Party.

The wave of stupidity has started. Way to go. Be proud of your stupidity. Support welfare for the rich and heavens no, children don't need no education. Pathetic.

Say goodbye to a once great country as we sink into banana republic status. Today's republicans would not have supported WWII because: 1. A democrat president called for it, and 2. The country was in debt and WWII would have increased debt a thousand fold. We would be speaking German if these idiots were in charge. Thank God they were not.

Education will be much better WITHOUT collective bargaining and union thugs destroying the dreams of children getting a quality education.

Collective bargaining has no positive influence on quality of education. It is fact.

You learned your lessons well. Unfortunately you don't improve education by screwing the teachers. You will learn someday. But hay keep supporting welfare for the rich. It did such a great job under GW.

You are just screwing yourselves. Enjoy being stupid in the future as education falls in Wisconsin.

You enjoy being pawns for the rich? Shame people do not learn from history.

Nobody wants to screw teachers. I just am worried about screwing the middle class. The part of the equation you completely forgot about.

Well if Mitt ever becomes president, enjoy giving some of your wealth to him. I have not seen a presidential candidate so willing to stick it to the middle class. Shame people are unable to make the connection between taxes, spending, and the middle class. And it is really a shame that people cannot make the connection between government spending in bad economic times and a recovery.

Government spending is never appropriate during any times, good or bad. It ALWAYS leads to waste and corruption.

lol, as if spending by private industry does not? Government spending got us out of the great depression or would you prefer to be speaking German today? I guess you would. Fortunately most did not.

lol, my point exactly. Do you know what WWII was? Repeat after me: WWII was government spending on steroids. Repeat that 5 times and then tell me how I am not correct.

By the way the reason the new deal didn't entirely work was because the republicans were constantly trying to balance the budget too early which just plunged the country back into recession. Kinda like today.

War is not the same as responsibly leading the country to growth WITHOUT killing people. The point is twofold. FDR's economic policies were as disastrous as obama's currently. The ONLY presidents to bring the nation (or any nation for that matter) out of recession without the stimulus of war are - JFK, RR and GW.

They all did it with the same policies - LOWER government spending and reducing taxes.barak, as FDR, did the exact opposite and only economic failure has followed.

    Those, are simply the facts.
  • ehrhornp JustThe... 2012/06/21 03:19:25

How were FDRs policies disastrous? Fact is there was pressure to balance the budget way too early and this kept the country in recession.

As for lower government, and then mention GW and Uncle Ron, well you are just wrong. Both spent like drunken sailors but unfortunately we have nothing to show for it. compare their spending to say Eisenhower and today we have the interstate freeway system. Cost a few bucks to build but has resulted in much economic growth and wealth. Shame republicans have forgotten Ike.

Hate to tell you this but spending is spending. Whether it is for war or for peaceful means, the initial effect will be the same. Pumping money into the economy. Now spending for peaceful means will provide dividends such as the interstate freeway system. But potholes half way around the world is not going to continue growth.

To read the answer to how FDR was a disaster read my previous post.

I did read your post and it is just wrong. You didn't say why FDR's economic policies were a disaster just as you didn't say why Obama's policies are.

As far as your point about presidents out of recession with out war shows that you have a very short memory. GW had two wars, you might have heard of them? He also left the economy in an economic free fall.

Interesting you mentioned JFK. He had the Vietnam war and that cuba mess. But as Eisenhower had the interstate freeway system to his credit, JFK had the space program. I guess you would have been against both?

I guess I'll just keep this copied in memory until you stop trying to deny the factual content behind it.....

They all did it with the same policies - LOWER government spending and reducing taxes.barak, as FDR, did the exact opposite and only economic failure has followed.

JFK had the cuban missile crises, RR had a few wars, and GW had two main wars and he still crashed the economy. So to say they did it without the stimulus of war is just wrong. If not actual war, the military industrial complex sucks up tons of the country's assets which has been a major factor since Eisenhower and has only gotten worse.

Can you read? Are you denying that WWiI got us out of the great depression? You do realize I hope that WWII was government spending. So show me how WWII didn't end the great depression.
