The Quote of the Decade:
"The fact that we are here
today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership
failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own
bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from
foreign countries to finance our Government 's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing
America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means
that, "the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the
burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and
grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of
leadership. Americans deserve better."
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March
2006

Gravitas 2012/10/11 15:53:47+10The irony is that he said this while the mid-term campaign for 2006 was beginning which the Dems acquired control of both chambers of Congress.
They proceeded to put the final touches on the financial collapse that was in the works for decades, blamed it on Bush and usurped him into office.

And Mooshelle has him wear this...
LOL
I reckon obama either forgot
what he said or
it is different with him @ the wheel.
I suppose we'll have to rely upon Univision to ask him. Oh SNAP! He won't go on there again... Perhaps Romney could ask in the next debate.
Good expectations come from positive results of our past doings/behaviors. Not by pilfering money from one another, borrowing or printing monies only to be paid into a system that has no understanding of a free market and of a free people. Because if this admin did understand this we'd have a BUDGET.
How can reasonable people vote and neglect math equations? Our country runs on arithmetic and future figures?!
Yet the president assures us he’ll ask for higher/new taxes, death tax will be enacted, your kids will have to pay taxes on anything you leave them, btw, they've already been taxed!
Health care fees/penalties enacted as well. Just how much of your paycheck do you want to keep?
How hard do you want me to work for other families yet let my own family suffer?
New tax codes and health care system needs to be done in a way that works for everyone w/o dumping on other Americans because of their social status. It’s their social status who employ people like me.
They (as a whole,) are continual habitual liars. They continue to pile lie after lie upon one another, only to circle ba...

Most recent gigantic layered lie, our fellow Americans who died in Libya.
And the oldest lie is still used, George Bush is STILL to blame. The president didn’t inherit this econ, he ASKED for it when he ran for office and then did nothing to better our situation.
These written words cannot be disputed a minute longer.

leadership. Americans deserve better." The first time i agree with anything he said
his defining comment was 'you didn't build that'.
