The Public Cares If a Candidate Cheats [INFOGRAPHIC]

SodaHead Infographics 2011/12/08 23:00:00
Last week, we asked SodaHeads what they thought about candidates who cheat on their spouses. Herman Cain's cheating accusations didn't seem to have much of an impact on his campaign in the polls, but it quickly spiraled out of control when the public refused to let it go. Now, it's cost him his candidacy.

Earlier this year, [former] Rep. Anthony Weiner resigned from his position over a cheating scandal, and before the jokes had a chance to go limp, news of Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child got out. It's not an uncommon occurrence, and it's important that voters are able to assess what this means for their country, and how -- if at all -- it will affect their vote.

If a Democrat cheats and becomes president, he tells every little school child that oral sex is okay and it's not really sex. He redefines sex and starts the largest downhill movement in sexual behavior, just to make what he did seem okay. If a Republican tells a woman she's pretty, he has committed one of the most heinous crimes against humanity possible. He is shamed publicly on all of the major news networks and is forced to abandon his bid for office.

Obama Accused Of Sexual Harassment While at Harvard Law Review(Multiple Accusers)
    .
UPDATE: Third man comes forward to AP.
    A
third former editor says he considered filing a workplace complaint
over what he considered aggressive and unwanted behavior by Barack Obama
when he worked under the president in the 1991 at the University of
Chicago. He says the behavior included a private invitation to his
    apartment.
He worked for the University of Chicago when he was a
Visiting Law and Government Fellow. He told The Associated Press that
Obama made sexually suggestive remarks or gestures about the same time
that the two editors of the Harvard Law Review had settled separate
harassment complaints against him. The employee described situations in
which he said Obama told him he had confided to colleagues how
attractive he was and invited him to his apartment outside work. He
spoke on condition of anonymity, saying he feared retaliation. The White
    House declined to comment.

It does when they are the leader, the president of the free world, AMERICA!!!!!!!!
And he's not the only President to be corrupt, and not the only politician to be corrupt.
Books have been written of the corruption, do you read????
  • Kae Kam I'm His... 2011/12/11 20:52:26

Corruption in office and extramarital affairs are not related. Plenty of good leaders had indiscretions. Work life and private life are separate.

Indiscretions are not a quality of a good leader.
It is our acceptance of indiscretions of political leaders that will be our downfall. Because it is a fact that those who cheat at one thing will cheat at another if given the right circumstances, and the political arena gives that chance in abundance!
You choose to not believe that in your fellow man, and that's ok, i understand that logic, but then live with the results when your lifestyle is affected.
And that's what alot of people do, they are living with the results.
I choose not to, and will not support any man who cheats on the one he gave his word to!
    Take care my friend.

While I certainly understand your prerogative, I need to see evidence of that theory before I accept it as truth.

Hey, the evidence is in living life and seeing people cheat from one thing to another, the prisions are full of them, people who cheated, got away with it and went on to cheating in other avenues.
Violations of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a relationship, academic cheating is becoming a common occurrence in high schools and colleges because people are accepting it as the norm, because so many students are doing it, because most of them get away with it, 1/3 reported to have repeatedly cheated because of that fact.
Cheating is changing the morality and ethics in society.
Society itself is the evidence, believe it or not, not my place to provide you with evidence you will not believe.
That's my opinion on the subject, and it is changing our society, our ploitical system, and the way people think about it.

Is there a reason you're insulting me and calling me unintelligent? The free ride I got at Brown would beg to differ. Argumentum Ad Hominem does not validate your case.

Illustrator is guilty of hasty generalization. Just because a couple presidents that had affairs were bad leaders does not prove all of them will be. Also, he should research Slippery Slope Fallacy.

Mitt Romney is not a cheater and faithful to his wife of about 45 years and she has MS. They have five clean cut sons. They don't do illegals drugs, alcohol, cuss, cheat; but that doesn't matter because people really do WANT cheaters as their politicians.

It is your party who shoots their mouth off with high moral Christian values. They have a problem with practicing what they preach. It states in the Constitution we have the freedom OF religion. The key word is OF. We the people can choose to be Muslim, Jewish, atheist, agnostic, Catholic, etc. This is what freedom of religion is about. If you want to preach on high moral values walik the talk. Jesus would not deny health care to anyone. Jesus welcomed people from all walks of life. Jesus would not have "boarders". Jesus would NEVER EVER turn his back on a poor person. This is what my Catholic church teaches me. My Catholic church teaches social justice, something I do not see in the Republicon party. Maybe if you so called Christians would start reading the bible and practicing what is written in the bible, this United States would be a better place. Jesus showed compassion.

Interesting demographics. I deeply appreciate Soda Heads commitment to these important issues concerning the future of our nation. It's still worries me to find that 39% of Soda Head users don't care about the morals of future candidates. This country needs more than just economic change, it needs moral change also.
Our nation needs strong families. Rampant infidelity is tearing our families and country apart.

Lets all get real here, how many men and woman cheat.hundreds thousands, but most dont get into the limelight not unless your a politician or a Hollywood celebrity ..So what does it really matter,as long as it does not interfere with the work that they are doing I really dont care, and as for anyone saying anything about Clinton I could not care less about that either.Marriage was a man made thing anyway.A cheater in marriage does not mean a cheater in work or anything else.
