The Pink Ribbon scandal exposed: Turns out the creator of it donated $731,303 to PLANNED PARENTHOOD from the money people donated thinking it would go solely for breast cancer research! Should those who donated to the Pink Ribbon fund cry foul?

I think Susan G. Komen should be criminally PROSECUTED for misappropriation of funds and embezzlement. Do you agree?

But you know the Obama administration won't prosecute her.

Because the foundation is not solely about research, it also clearly states in it's website that they use the money to"save lives, empower people, and ensure quality care for all, in addition to "energizing science to find a cure."

This includes education. Planned Parenthood provides approximately 830,000 breast exams per year, as well as teaching young women how to perform a self exam and what to look for. Early detection is important to beating cancer and Planned Parenthood helps in this.

Perhaps rather than whining that your money didn't go where you thought it should, you should thoroughly research a company before donating. Nowhere did they state that the money solely goes to research.

You need to research any organization, before you donate money to it. Labeling (the name of and organization, or its stated intent) means little, actions mean everything. In the end, it is for the donor to decide.

Let me start by saying I have a dog in this fight. The mother of my children died from breast cancer.

I am so completely against everything that planed parenthood stands for. To say they do a few good things will never trump the evil. Hitler united his country and had great social services for his followers. that does not trump going to war with the whole world and exterminating his scape goats.

I donate to the cause at every chance, NO MORE.

absolutely. given the severity of the issue, i think many people who support her foundation probably came unglued thinking they funded something they are against against their knowledge or will. This was very underhanded and dirty pool on her part.

What's that got to do with the price of oranges, or RESEARCH TO FIND A CURE FOR CANCER? Taking action to REDUCE THE LIKELIHOOD OF CANCER is NOT cancer research, no matter how you try to repackage it.

Because pink ribbon is about preventing, treating and hopefully curing breast cancer. Don't need a cure so much if you can prevent it, or diagnose it as early as possible. You can't say it's not important.

I am not for abortion except in certain serious cases. My wife has Leukemia and is recovering. The science that has been used to find cures for cancer has helped these days so that certain treatments that were not available then are availabe now. I will never support abortion. But I am glad the research saved my wife's life.

Pink ribbon means breast cancer research exclusively. Using it to support abortion is obscene and Fraud. The people responsible should be put in prison, and throw away the key.

Are you referring to taped conversations made into videos with pix in the background that aren't part of the conversations at all? If so, my response remains unchanged. A link would be helpful so people can check your statement -- which has no validity on its own.

No...Talking about tapes of them convincing girls to abort. Even if they are not sure they wanted to. Audio and video. It is not my fault you are uninformed. Nor my job to educate you. Where were you when these tapes were all over the place.

like I said if you didn't bother to look then, not my fault. I have no need to search for things that I have already seen. Like sending me back to 4th grade to suit you. They have ways of burying things in the search engine that they don't want you to see. Aol is as liberal as the night is dark. I will not search thru hundreds of sites for you. They also scrub things off the web. If you think you can find all knowledge linked on the internet at all times, you are sad.

Nonsense. It's a fact that 2 people who see the same car accident are VERY unlikely to report it the same way. So just because you heard something doesn't mean you heard it right -- especially given your wild bias toward one conclusion only.

I DO know how to fact check: Your 95 second "fact" totals 332,278 abortions (2009). 1,000,000 pap smears, 4,000,000 STD tests, 830,000 breast exams. 5,830,000 = 332,278?

  • Jackie La 2011/11/04 00:32:03

Abortions are cheap too. Children at 12 and 13 get abortions there with no questions asked. Which if they are pregnant it is automatically rape. No reports to police no investigation. Daddy can take his little girl in for an abortion every time he knocks her up. And no consequence what so ever. Just continued raping of children,.PP allows rape a free hand. Every day.

sorry, my personal experience with PP trumps your dubious investigation show. i've had to use their services several times. yes, twice it resulted in an abortion: one baby was missing the frontal part of the brain and the other was conceived while i had an IUD in place and it was incorporating into the baby. the other time, after speaking with the very kind, very compassionate ppl there, they made me realize i didn't actually want an abortion, i was just scared witless and i kept the baby.

that's why it's called "planned parenthood", not "parenthood no matter what you want".
