Important why? They perform two different functions. Successful CEO's generally are responsible for thousands of employees keeping their jobs, and teachers ..... well I'll have to get back to you on that one. Most teachers I know get paid for something but it sure isn't teaching.

The objective market has determined that CEO's are worth more. The subjective teachers would rather whine that do the work to become a CEO.

What is your point? If a company believes it's CEO is worth that kind of money, they have the right to pay him or her that money. Also, it's incredibly annoying to see arguments framed in terms of "workers" vs. CEOs. It presumes that CEOs are not workers. I have worked for a number of CEOs over the years, and I can assure you that they worked as hard or in most cases harder than those who worked under them. I'm sick to death of class warfare arguments.

Is there a point to this stupidity? Lets see, a teacher is in charge of 25 kids and maybe one thousand dollars. A CEO is in charge of a million investors money and billions of dollars, now which one has earned a greater salarie? Take away a teacher and ten more are standing in line to replace that one, take away a CEO and the company collapses and thousands lose their jobs while millions lose their investments. People, you need to get it through your thick heads that CEOs make your life the envy of the world. Who else is responsible for providing you with the stuff you buy?

If teacher thought they were worth more money why didn't they go out and head up a company? Teacher knew what the job paid when they took the job. They have college educations and supposedly are smart, so if they don't like the money why did they take the job? I think many teachers are over paid. Our youths are coming out of schools with an education. The public school system is a disgrace. Alternative schools are far out performing them.

CEO's in our country are responsible for making a profit. If they cared about their employees we wouldn't need unions. Their job is to get the most work done for the least amount of money. CEO's here are way over paid relative to the rest of the world.

If you like the numbers game look at this. 225 teachers are responsible for 40.5K students. Do the math.

I don't believe anything needs to be changed, and even if I did, I don't think I can do anything about it.

No thanks; he's the one TRYING to change everything. I misspoke; one thing does need to be changed, the Presidential Administration.

What needs to be changed is the makeup of congress. President Obama has tried hard to put our country back on the right track. That has been made impossible by the republicans who have vowed to make him a one term president. They are trying to accomplish this at great cost to our country and they don't care.

No; Obama has been trying to put us on the (extreme) left track. I for one do not want to live in the USSA,

Is that a quote from Fox News? Nice try to stir up emotions with hateful words.

It's good to let people know what the facts are. Got something against education? Do you benefit from keeping people in the dark?

Why don't you make the same comment to sjalan? The liberal above you.
Tee Quake makes a good point, you just have your head up Obamas butt not to see the truth in what he says.
