Somewhere the way it has become acceptable to have the mindset that we need government in order to get ahead. In reality, it is just the opposite: because so many Americans are dependent on government, they will NEVER get ahead.
The same is true of corporations: we must stop bailing them out. Part of the success of the capitalist system is that everyone has the opportunity to succeed or fail. GM should have never been bailed out. So what if they closed ? Another company would have taken over that share of the marketplace. And how is GM showing their gratitude ? By moving 70% of its production overseas and ALL of its R &D; to China !
