You'd be surprised how much you can save just by asking if they discount for cash. The government takes forever and insurance companies aren't much better.

One of my firends in waiting for surgery for a broken collarbone because the FL hospital is deciding if it will still accept AETNA insurance holders, two weeks on pain meds and still no answer! He is considering selling his motorcycle to pay cash so he can get his collarbone plated, heal and get back to work before he loses his job!
Yes, it is already happening!

That's insane! I've been so very lucky. I was poisoned in 1990 and misdiagnosed. I healed myself and have never been back to a doctor except for a check up (BP, blood letting and normal kick the tires stuff). He needs to get that taken care of before they have to rebreak it to get it healed properly.

I imagine this is what it is going too be like for all of us soon. Hospitals are in negotiations with insurance companies so he has had to wait 3 weeks for the ortho appt and now 3 more weeks for the hospital decision.
According to Obamacare adisor, Dr Ezekial Emmanuel, health insurance will ge gone by 2020!

Thanks! He needs it, he's in a lot of pain and praying the bone dosen't float around too much. Stopped the pain meds, made him feel like he could continue to do the work he shouldn't do.

I don't know really - a news website owner Pat Dollard noted on another site I am on that on the day it passed he saw that there was not a lot of gloating by the left. I observed that also. I think they are as shocked as we are and maybe they don't know exactly what to do yet either. I just saw a headline that Waters said she hadn't decided yet if she would call it a tax lol - and Pelosi said it wasn't a tax that calling it that was just Washington DC talk. lmbo - so anyway - maybe they really don't know any more than we do what to expect next.

IMO, Justice Roberts knows that a tax can be repealed with a simple majority in Congress and a new President. Justice Roberts also knows that 73% of Independents want Obamacare repealed. Justice Roberts is dumb like a fox.

Many think so - then others think it now means we can be taxed for not participating in or buying just about anything .. which sets a precedent. I am not yet decided on what I think it all means.

Congress has been able to tax us since Washington put a tax on whiskey. You've been taxed to build roads you'll never drive on, bridges you'll never cross in places you've never heard of. I don't see this as anything new.

Safari, it is my belief that the ones you mentioned have fewer clues than any of us do. They don't do problem solving. They just pass laws and rules for the rest of us to abide by. They don't deal with consequences - we see that fact every day!

I'll bet they won't. They are "special" in Obamaworld. There is no such thing as equality under Obama. There hasn't been equality actually during my lifetime. When we get back on our feet, we really NEED to look again at our government and make some serious changes. This CAN be prevented from happening again - but we have to be willing to take a chance now and then.
