Comply or die. That's all the choice you have, now that you've turned your back on the constitution.

They are tasked with protecting and serving the respective corporation, and it's property.
Your local Sheriff, on the other hand, is fully constitutional and is the highest elected peace officer in their specific territory.
I live near the mysterious earth quake area of central WI. no "expert" has an explanation. There was some controversy in this area about 20-25 years ago about the Gov't building a transmission station for Subs, in this area due to the large mass of Granite.
"global warming" Is a farse. where I'm sitting right now, 20,000 years ago there was a sheet of ice nearly 1 mile thick. Now it's warm and sunny, must be cars that caused it to melt...lol
time to pry the grip of conservatism from the levers of power in this country.
vote DEM 2012
This is the first I've heard of it.
to be honest, he's more like a moderate Republican that I would care for him to be. but I understand the constraints he's working with in Congress which has opposed nearly everthing he has proposed.
which brings me to my 2nd point: Obama is president, not dictator. He does not control the levers of power... those are clearly still in the death grip of conservitism.
but we are going to fix that by giving Obama a Congress that will WORK to solve PROBLEMS. then you will see what LIBERAL means.
DEMS 2012
I notice both "sides" wear the exact same jackboots, these days.
liberals are here. and we are GOING to be heard over the din of corporate noise...
watch WI...that's where the crack started.
not interested in your "homework".
Indeed, it's problematic in the extreme, differentiating 'tween a Bolshevik and a Nazi these days.
Despite the revered protections of the Bill of Rights, any or all can be negated in a heartbeat by the action(s) of any party in control. So who is control? Believe me, it is not the People. We People can and do holler all day every day, but the Actions of our Rulers speak to drown out our words. Maybe, just maybe, some years later following years of expensive and traumatic efforts in the courts, some may find redress.
So far, the People have their guns. We do not have drones and WMD's or aBombs or any of the several tools seen in this video. Instead we have our guns, but not automatics or machine guns or cannons. All the real weapons are owned by your Rulers, and we PAY for the Rulers to have them.
7 billion People on this planet, and all are Governed, not by gods and heros, but by mere other people, and generally about equally stupid as the average human. Who thinks this is any way to run a planet?
It has always been us against them, but THEY are getting MORE and MORE power. And WE are forced to comply with orders that in many cases are illegal under threat of violence.
One step to take to combat this IMO is to get all cities, counties and states to pass laws saying that it is NOT illegal to film a cop doing his job. That as long as you are out of the way and not interfering with any of their duties you MAY LEGALLY film them. It is an accountability issue. While we are law abiding citizens we are not accountable to them, they are accountable to us. Which they have forgotten.
Absolutely correct. Thank you, Sheila.
The level of power wielded by police under the Patriot Act is downright frightening. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Idk.
Btw, morning, Sunshine. :-)
I agree. Just the other day, I voted in our local elections here - there was an Oath Keeper running for Sheriff. I cast my vote for him, but he lost by a huge margin. Sadly. I've had the pleasure of knowing a few really good cops, genuinely decent human beings. Some of the stories they've told me aren't very reassuring. Nor was my own experience with the police / courts in general.
The brief experience I had with the National Guard at the "FEMA camps" in NOLA after Katrina, it was pretty disturbing. Mind you, they were by far more considerate than the locals - but that's not saying much. My conversation with one of the Guardsmen, short as it was, was like looking into an empty vessel. I hate to say that, I'm sure they're not all like that - and that is a part of what they do I suppose. But it was surreal to say the very least. Very disturbing.
Been listening to this;

One of the, very few, things I've learned, as a constant - religion and Jesus are two separate playing fields altogether. I grew up in the church, don't get me wrong - I've no problem with the church. But religion is mutually exclusive from all that, imo. Matthew and Acts lay it down. If one seeks spirituality, rather than dogma/doctrine, that's where to look. In my, very humble, opinion. Furthermore, wherever you find hypocrisy, you won't find God. least, that's been my experience.
I have a book of mormon in my living-room. It ain't right Wanna. I've read much of it and I have no other way to describe it. Disturbs me, honestly. lol
