THE MOST HONEST 3 1/2 MINUTES ON TV

How long have we seen ALL of this coming? There once was a time when the brave, the entrepreneur, the mindset of the daring and freedom seeker would load up their wagons, placing in them all the wealth they had for the dream and
“go West,” for the hope of discovering a brand new land! They only succeeded because of the generosity and care of those who had traveled before them, willing to take time out of their lives, their farm their family in order to help build a house or a barn for their fellow man!

There was a time when we would simply walk over to our neighbor house and sit down and talk with them, share with them to accomplishments or challenges of our day and they, theirs! There was a time when FEMA never existed and a hurricane far more devastating the Katrina hit the Texas coast (Carla)..... yet without govt….. Individual spirit, the help of a neighbor, the GOOD of man helped our state recover in but one year!

But when the control and mandates of Washington tells us they will be compassionate, they will solve the hurts and pains and bring back greatness to the People of New Orleans..... they fail miserably for they never operate for the human heart but only for the purpose to beat their chest in a public square to get re-elected! For today, almost seven years after, there are still 1,000's of homes never rebuilt, never repaired…. never to see their walls inhabited by a family! Yet govt will tell us they are so great! :(

The greatness of any nation is NEVER measured by control of govt...... but rather the moral leadership to set as an example to those who entrusted them to lead! For today, we have a President who will find fault in those that care, those that build, those who expand our companies, run our businesses and invent new ideas! Rather than call them entrepreneurs, the backbone of our economy… he will strike them down to be greedy, mean or dedicated to the absolute of greed! Rather than lift up individual states of a group of people, he will do everything within his power to keep them as "servants" of a govt system that needs their vote through the pretence of giving them something for nothing! Until We The People, recognize that the head of govt is but as strong as the ‘body’ who placed them in authority.... we will continue to become the Nation that was once GREAT, but is no longer!

Very true, Salt. I remember a time, not all that long ago, that we didn't have to lock our doors. We didn't have to sequester our children in the house for fear of a predator making off with them. Neighbors looked out for one another, there was no "neighborhood watch", it was just the right thing to do. Someone comes up to your house and no one's home and your neighbor doesn't recognize them - you can bet they're going to be confronted. Why? Because you would do it for them. Everyone knew who couldn't be trusted and life was difficult for them. Rightly so. If they were going to take something that someone else worked hard for, there were consequences. The government didn't help them do it.


Politically correct? WTF was that? Someone says something idiotic, profane, anti-American or insulting it wasn't freedom of speech, it was an invitation to an ass-whoopin'. The picture of Bill Ayers standing on my flag brings one thought to mind, "It's going to be hard to walk home with those feet broken off and sticking out of your ass, Bill."

(Disclaimer for this next paragraph: 'You' doesn't mean you personally, I just got on a rip and don't know how else to express it. Sorry)
The "we sure used to be" part of that clip really hit home. The writer of those lines was absolutely correct. On July 20th, 1969, I lived in England. To be an American was to be 10 foot tall and bullet-proof. Neil Armstrong didn't say, "One small step for A man, one giant leap for America", he said, "One small step for MAN, one giant leap for MANKIND." We led the world in innovation, technology and exploration. Our discoveries and innovations have benefited every one of the 6 and a half Billion people on this planet. Now we have to hitch a ride on Russian space shots. Russian?! Really?! Give me a freakin' break. Now the Chinese have a space program? Who the hell do you think is paying for it? WE ARE, through F'ing Wal-Mart! Just like we are paying for their new aircraft carriers and submarines and their million+ man standing Army. You want to know why we're poor and there's no jobs? Next time you go to Wal-Mart look for the 'Made in China' sticker on everything you buy.

Well, that took off down a surprising tangent but I'm going to let it stand...... It's TIME. TIME to stop the madness. Time to stop the twisting of the Constitution, the end-runs around what's good and true and right and to stand up, vocally and persistently, for AMERICA. AMERICA FIRST! For the values and ideals in the Constitution. For self-reliance and accountability. Confront liberalism, Progressivism, Socialism; expose it for what it is and plow it under.

I know what you mean, it's tough. I recently had to break down and buy a new pocket knife, I finally wore out the Gerber I had been carrying since the early '80's. What I found surprised me. All the 'American' names were made in China - cheap and marginal quality, basically no better than the BS "Remington" or "Winchester" crap in the sporting goods dept at Wally World. After visiting 6 different sporting goods stores I found a Buck that was made in the USA (most of their products are made in China also).

I use the website http://www.stillmadeinusa.com/ to research things that I don't have to buy immediately. We order a lot of stuff from the companies linked to this site and try to have it shipped by USPS when we can. For my own business, we switched almost all of our shipping over to USPS using their flat rate service.

We shop for produce (and some other stuff) at the local Farmer's Market during the season (going there later today) to support local farmers. They've got the freshest stuff and it's great, maybe a little more expensive than the big chain grocery store but it came from Caddo or Bossier Parish, not Guatemala or Mexico. My neighbor grew it trying to support his family, just like I do what I do to support mine. And it's great! Last Saturday my wife bought some corn on the cob that had been in the field last Friday and made it for Sunday dinner. You can't get any fresher than that and it was fantastic.

It's sad that America is wounded, bleeding and dying... it takes each of us to drive change and stop allowing our greatness to be taken from us... Here is Old Glory talking to us:
