I hope Romney lies about his beliefs just like Obama did, whats wrong with that? Who cares what his religion teaches, it is separation of church and state anyway. Obama is only religious when it is convenient for him. Obama gets away with all sorts of things, last I heard he was sending money to the middle east to repair madrasas (Muslim churches) or whatever they are called. Our tax dollars that we don't have are going to a religion that hates us. I don't think there is anything funnier and dumber than that!

Ok Holy... I have to agree on some of your comments, but not all. We should of never been involved with those two faced muslims that are gathered together with Reagan. Keep in mind that we are not perfect and there has been no other President, in the past, that has given away as much money to other nations as Obama has.

Is the Pope Catholic? Romney has been a major financial contributor to the Mormon Church all his life. He's gone on missionary trips for them and has held high offices in their church organization. He's only two generations away from Polygamy in his own family. So I can say without doubt, he believes in the Mormon Church's sacred, organized stupidity. He's dangerous.

If someone tells me, "I am Mormon." I assume they are telling the truth and considering his history within his church I would call him devout. So yes, he does believe in Mormon's organized stupidity.
I read the article at RealClearReligion, interesting link by the way, and I have to say; Who cares if he is a Mormon? Gold plates and magic stones are no more ridiculous than virgins having babies and dead people coming back to life.
If he is elected it will be interesting to watch Romney and the mini theocracy already in Washington interacting with each other. I don't imagine Romney will get many invites to prayer breakfasts in the congessional dining room or dinners with visiting Evangelical preachers. I'm not sure if their mutual hatred of Muslims, gays, and abortion will be enough to bridge the gap.

All religion is unverifiable claims. Religious faith is believing in something that you can not prove. Religious faith is completely irrational. It is an opinion about something you can not possible know. James Madison who wrote most of the Constitution hated organized religion as did Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Paine to name a few.

To believe only in part or to believe Jesus didn't get it quite right and therefore make additions that are not Biblical abandons Christianity and essentially abandons Gods word for Joe Smiths words. Smith simply copied what he knew would work! Then added his twist to it!

Don't confuse Christians who adhere to Gods word with Mormons who adhere to Joe's word!

Although I do not agree with Mormon doctrine and am of the opinion Joseph Smith was a a false prophet, to say that a man who has conned millions into believing what boils down to false doctrine that is easily refuted and proven false "[was] not a smart man" borders on absurdity. He was a brilliant con man, but his brilliance stopped there!

I do not agree with the teachings of the Mormon church. The Mormon doctrine dismisses the Bible for its own law!

The Bible says there is only one God (Is. 43:10; 44:6,8; 45:5). God is a trinity of persons, not three gods. God is eternally God (Psalm 90:2), therefore, He was never a man. God knows of no other gods (Is. 44:8). You cannot become a god (Is. 43:10). Mormonism is wrong.

However, I am not in a position to determine whether a Mormon is insane or not. I'd imagine that, like any large group, including atheism, Christianity etc there are those who are insane and those who are not. It is not kind to label anyone insane simply because they have been deceived.

Our Constitution is "Godless" because of the necessity of separation of church and state. That is to prevent one more powerful church from making all the decisions.
Sounds like you don't want Mormons making your decisions, so be glad and grateful for the separation of church and state.

Don't worry, the Republican Party will NEVER be able to change the separation of church and state. NEVER. We Americans will start another revolution before that ever happens. And it won't. It is here to stay.

There should be 'none of the above'.I checked out the mormon religion a long time ago.They believe that anyone with dark skin is 'related to Cain' because 'god put a dark mark on Cain after he supposedly killed Abel'.They believe in having as many kids as possible & that is it is 'sin' to prevent pregnancy in any way.The believe that Joseph Smith was a 'prophet' who brought about the final christian religion.Why believe in ANY nonsense religion?
