I do not think you can effect change if you disrespect the same system you want help from. They are biting the hand that feeds US. That is penny's to the big companies...but they aren't paying. OWS is causing damage to try and prove a point about the big corps and abuse of money, yet when they do damage or neglect to remain peaceful the companies aren't paying WE ARE. OWS is abusing their right to my money! Where do I go to protest?

I have been saying this for months!! Wall Street is laughing all the way to the bank. It's time to boycott their banks, business, etc. WE HAVE TO HURT THEM IN THE POCKETBOOK - IT IS THE ONLY LANGUAGE THEY UNDERSTAND.
    BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT
Why do people still do business with corporations like J.P. Morgan anyway, are you nuts or just filthy rich? I don't get it. I've said it before, they are laughing all the way to the bank!!

If you do the crime you have to do the time !

7000 arrests made so far. this is appalling. this is costing society. these people do not have the right to occupy our public property, deface it, and destroy property that does not belong to them.

what do they care right. its not their money. They should have to pay this money back. They can't even get a permit for their demonstrations. they had to hibernate for the winter. their cause was so important that they could not allow anything like the cold to deter them !

These people are damaging their "cause" whatever that is since they don't even know what their "cause" is.

What's wrong isn't the cost to the taxpayers. What is wrong is that MOST of those who were there protesting are proponents of national socialism. They don't understand that American capitalism is dead, and was long ago replaced by monopoly and crony capitalism. The government and their alliance WITH big corporations should have been what they were protesting against, but instead they incorrectly focused on Wall Street alone, and expect the government to provide them with everything they need to live.

They pay taxes too. They are vested and may have lost everything including their jobs, Its legal and allowed by freedom of speech laws. Bill the bankers of Wall Street, they brought it on. What? should they shrivel up and die, or bend over and crack a smile? They are also conveying a message and making a statement from across all america!

  • Patric EdVenture 2012/05/15 17:13:01

that does not address the unemployed statement .

and if they are unemployed, they would NOT be paying income taxes...

in fact , by probability , 1 / 2 of all do NOT pay income taxes... where is the outrage ?

Do you realize unemployment benefits are taxable?
  • Patric EdVenture 2012/05/15 18:03:55
    Patric
yes, they can be taxable , not necessarly taxable, can be.. it depends upon all the tax write offs available ,,

it would be just as accurate to say,, do you realize unemployument benefits
    are not taxable??

both CAN be true, but neither are true in of them selves...

    hmm,, interesting response..
and my reply , is very simple,
I work 2 jobs so that I do not have to beg, nor borrow, nor steal.
and regardless of the personal situation of the people that attend the occupy thing,
trashing the city parks is not acceptable, and may be if you and the others would some how come to your senses of proper behaivor , you too could possibly GET A JOB....

Who cleans up the mess and provides law enforcement the tax payers. I don't care why they are there i'm not like them looking for a hand out and a free ride. The man don't hold me down i get along just fine and don't have to worry about what others have or how much money they make.
