It's hard to suggest that the God of the Bible is an all-powerful God when Satan was created as a scapegoat in order to explain the inherent suffering in life.

The Bible is a book of fairy-tales and myths. Much of it violent and it certainly picks heros and promotes war. The only hang up in the Bible is sex where it is entirely one sided (male) and like islam today admires women in subservient roles. The Bible was written by men who had no understanding of science. They denigrated that which they had no understanding of and had no tolerance for nature's abnormalities.

It's true, it's in there. It says for an ancient nomadic tribe of Israelites to punish all manner of different sins by death. You don't know much about the Bible if you think that still stands.

The bible does teach intolerance about a lot of things. People who read this book and use it as a manual are just crazy. It is a book of stories, some of which are nice and some of which aren't. Does the book actually say to kill homosexuals? I have never head that phrase actually quoted. Using common sense and reason you can come to some better conclusions than the lessons taught in the good book. Maybe it isn't such a good book after all... Maybe it should be banned.

what you fail to realize is that this is the old testament and it is written before jesus came. now we are under the age of grace because of jesus being raised from the dead and that doesnt apply anymore. you can love the person dislike the sin.

Yes, the "Holy Bible" teaches hate and intolerance of others. It also teaches love and forgiveness of others. It also seems to contain a few hisorical facts, but many of those have been shown to be questionable by subsequent researchers. There is also a bit of philosophy contained therein as well. Some romance and murder and war stories too. A pretty decent Readers Digest for the particular timeframe during which it was written!

The Bible is a nice book of stories, but some of them are not always nice.

We have no idea who wrote the Bible, or when, and some parts have been determined by scientists to be forgeries and fraudulent, but millions of followers accept every word of it as if it was sent by their god. So far they have not gone around slaughtering LGBT's, but let's not tell them about those parts.

Like most things written by committee, the bible is filled with self-contradiction, outmoded thinking, prejudice, and factual error. But of course, it's infallible.
