Homosexuality in the Bible

These are not the words of a loving god, they are the words of a hater and a murderous psychopath. "God" is the worst serial killer and mass murderer in history.

    My research states that "King James" who wrote the "King James Version" of the bible was a homophobe so who knows, the bible has been rewrote and translated so many times the original messages may be lost....unless you know Hebrew and have an original copy laying around.

    It also promotes the raping of women, selling of children into slavery, and beating of wives.

    But it was also the collected, edited works of a few angry men that hated all things feminine and fun, so what can you expect.

    You have to stop and look at the context of those passages. First of all you must understand that God made man and woman. It was his purpose for a man and a woman to marry each other and become a couple for the purpose of populating the Earth. Also they are to be a team to raise the children that they are blessed to receive. Finally, the man is to be the head of his household and the woman is to be his helper or assistant. We, being God's creation are subject to his rules. It is his rule that we do not tolerate those who use the body unnaturally. Since the beginning of time, man has been disobedient to God. He is our Father, and when your child disbehaves, aren't you going to discipline him or her? The bible is full of examples of this and God has given us these to help us not make the same mistakes of those in the past. However, we are not listening. His patience is wearing thin. If this world does not change, it will come to an end. Revelations tells us this. Those who don't believe, I am sorry for you and I pray that you repent before it is too late,you are the ones who think that tolerance is okay. But it's not. This is what God is trying to tell you but you don't want to hear it. If you want to know the mindset of God then you must read the bible and have someone explain it to you. Then maybe you will see that it is man who is the hater and serial killer.

    If people followed the bible strictly there would be very few people left alive, because if I recall correctly there is a bunch of stuff in the bible, like (i think leviticus, is it?) that requires a lot human behaviors and activity be killed.

    The Bible says what it says...so be it. We're not here on earth to judge what other people do. They will be harshly judged when their time comes. We should have NOTHING to do with that. God will do as He sees fit. It is NOT up to us to kill people for the way they live.

    The people who say yes to THIS question, obviously, have NO morals whatsoever!! GOD CREATED US, NOT WE OURSELVES! So, GOD has EVERY RIGHT to destroy those who defy His laws & commandments! I can now SEE why He intends to intercede into human affairs & destroy ALL those who disobey Him. This society is just like the ones in Noah's time & Sodom & Gomorrah's time. If a man and woman have an affair- they are both to be put to death (Lev 20:10). If a couple has an incestuous relationship in some cases they are to be put to death (Lev 20:11-12). If a man marries a woman and her mom- They are to be burned to death (Lev 20:14). If one engages in bestiality, both the animal and person are to be put to death (Lev 20:15-16).     Actually ever read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah- if not you might want to before using that as an example of a hateful God. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah got a reputation for their sickness and wickedness. Some scouts went out to verify if it really was as bad as claimed. When the scouts arrived the men in the city couldn't get at the fresh meat fast enough to want to rape them. ( Minute homosexuals only engage as consensual adults- right? It don't sound much like these scouts were consenting, worse is Lot offered his daughter and they didn't want sex with any females they wanted sex with men. LOL little secret-- most heterosexual males that are adults if they were to be raped or attempted to be raped by a homosexual would = one dead homosexual most likely beat to a pulp. No one would feel sorry for the fool.) OK Back to the Story. Better you can read Genesis 18:20-32. Abraham bargained with God for the sake of if 10 innocent lives existed in Sodom and Gomorrah would he spare the city? Out of an entire city of a population well over 100 only a family of four was found. One could argue maybe 6 innocent lives ( the boyfriends of the daughters that did not take the warning serious, otherwise it was Lot, his wife, and 2 daughters.) Not a loving God? Strangers arrive and a bunch of (derogatory term for homosexuals) basically intended to bust down the door of the place the strangers were stays so the city could have an orgy raping these men. I'm sure that is the picture you want to paint the homosexual community looking like for one. Two, I think any society that would peak in that degree of sickness needs to be destroyed for the safety of the innocent- wouldn't you agree? Even if it was a heterosexual community and they couldn't molest or rape your daughters, girlfriends, wives quick enough, would you really feel bad for such a society if it were to be destroyed? Would it be less gruesome if these pervs were child molesters and the daughters were those of high royalty. Upon news of what was encountered the king ordered a war and dropped the equivalent of every nuclear bomb ever in existence on the city and destroyed it? Imagine how sick it would be if a society that came along "old enough to bleed, old enough to breed." These folks come on the story of the king that nuked a city similar to their idea of paradise. That king was an wicked evil king for not understanding the Love and attraction to what were most likely really hot girls, age is only a number! LOL I point this out as an illustration of how dangerous it is to take things out of context and twist it. :) LOL so who is going la la la I'm not listening, I'm not Listening, I'm not listening now? Understand the context, it might be hard to do when one is crying in the corner over their feelings being hurt because we don't want to be seen as sick monsters we want to be accepted as normal and want this love to be right.     The Bible is a 2000 + history book filled with the conjecture of its time. There is many endless qualities that can be interpeted from the bible, but in the same tone your caption speaks an intolerent truth. Though, we as Human beings are beginning to recognise what intolerence breeds among us in the Human Family= is diharmony and contention..Are we advancing as a planet or is traditional values and stagnational views going to continue?. All thing s grow or wither away, and is a natural principle of time.

    The Bible contradicts itself at the same time. Look up the story on Noah's son. The good parts of t he Bible, is what we need to focus on.

    Christians don't follow much of the Old Testament Law, so those passages have always been problematic: are they part of the Old Testament you're supposed to follow or not?

    It is also difficult to know how to take the New Testament passages. Wikipedia estimates the slave population in 1st century Rome as over one-third of the total population. Most of the intercourse going on therefore was between masters and slaves, and there is a better term than "gay sex" for such activity: rape. That Paul et al. were condemning rape, I have no problem with at all. Was Paul also talking about consensual gay behavior? Since people in consensual relationships weren't complaining about their situation, I see no reason why Paul would have needed to address the issue. If you actually read the New Testament epistles, they are very focused on the actual, real problems of the first century Church. To me, interpreting Paul's comments as a condemnation of rape makes perfect sense, seeing them as an aside directed toward a nonexistent problem is much more of a stretch.

    Great points. But unfortunately, people have a problem with gays even if they aren*t complaining about their situation.

    I don*t know much about the Bible. Was Paul speaking of what G~d*s views were and if not what does the Bible say G~d and Jesus said about gays?

    Did some researching on net. Read that in the New Testament Jesus did refer to the 5 books of the Old Testament and said something like: If u don*t believe what is said in books of Moses when he spoke of Me then how will u believe what I say?. That is a paraphrase. So with that said doesnt seem like Jesus wanted people to forget what G~d said in Leviticus regarding the condemning of the part of Bible that says a man lying with mankind as he lieth with a woman is an abomination. And there were some other things Jesus said that may have pointed toward not approving of homosexuality. Like when he condemned the goings on in Sodom and Gomorrah. However, if this is the proper meaning or translation I dont know. But Jesus is also said to love the sinner but not the sin and supposedly sees homosexuality as a reedemable sin as long as people repent and change their ways. I dont know about the Bible much . What u think of this?
