These are not the words of a loving god, they are the words of a hater and a murderous psychopath. "God" is the worst serial killer and mass murderer in history.
It also promotes the raping of women, selling of children into slavery, and beating of wives.
But it was also the collected, edited works of a few angry men that hated all things feminine and fun, so what can you expect.
The Bible is a very violent book and many parts of the Bible do not make any sense.
If people followed the bible strictly there would be very few people left alive, because if I recall correctly there is a bunch of stuff in the bible, like (i think leviticus, is it?) that requires a lot human behaviors and activity be killed.

Actually ever read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah- if not you might want to before using that as an example of a hateful God. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah got a reputation for their sickness and wickedness. Some scouts went out to verify if it really was as bad as claimed. When the scouts arrived the men in the city couldn't get at the fresh meat fast enough to want to rape them. ( Minute homosexuals only engage as consensual adults- right? It don't sound much like these scouts were consenting, worse is Lot offered his daughter and they didn't want sex with any females they wanted sex with men. LOL little secret-- most heterosexual males that are adults if they were to be raped or attempted to be raped by a homosexual would = one dead homosexual most likely beat to a pulp. No one would feel sorry for the fool.) OK Back to the Story. Better you can read Genesis 18:20-32. Abraham bargained with God for the sake of if 10 innocent lives existed in Sodom and Gomorrah would he spare the city? Out of an entire city of a population well over 100 only a family of four was found. One could argue maybe 6 innocent lives ( the boyfriends of the daughters that did not take the warning serious, otherwise it was Lot, his wife, and 2 daughters.) Not a loving God? Strangers arrive and a bunch of (derogatory term for homosexuals) basically intended to bust down the door of the place the strangers were stays so the city could have an orgy raping these men. I'm sure that is the picture you want to paint the homosexual community looking like for one. Two, I think any society that would peak in that degree of sickness needs to be destroyed for the safety of the innocent- wouldn't you agree? Even if it was a heterosexual community and they couldn't molest or rape your daughters, girlfriends, wives quick enough, would you really feel bad for such a society if it were to be destroyed? Would it be less gruesome if these pervs were child molesters and the daughters were those of high royalty. Upon news of what was encountered the king ordered a war and dropped the equivalent of every nuclear bomb ever in existence on the city and destroyed it? Imagine how sick it would be if a society that came along "old enough to bleed, old enough to breed." These folks come on the story of the king that nuked a city similar to their idea of paradise. That king was an wicked evil king for not understanding the Love and attraction to what were most likely really hot girls, age is only a number! LOL I point this out as an illustration of how dangerous it is to take things out of context and twist it. :) LOL so who is going la la la I'm not listening, I'm not Listening, I'm not listening now? Understand the context, it might be hard to do when one is crying in the corner over their feelings being hurt because we don't want to be seen as sick monsters we want to be accepted as normal and want this love to be right. Yes my words most likely hurt. I hope anyone reading this can see Truth and even recognize I'm not attacking and attempt to even be understanding, not to mention support your argument if you choose to color things as hatred. I'm sure I'll get hate comments for bruising feelings.
As you can tell I don't worry a single thing anymore about his world
Job 23:10
1 corinthians 7...
Now I will answer the questions that you asked in your letter. You asked, “Is it best for people not to marry?”[a] 2 Well, having your own husband or wife should keep you from doing something immoral. 3 Husbands and wives should be fair with each other about having sex. 4 A wife belongs to her husband instead of to herself, and a husband belongs to his wife instead of to himself. 5 So don’t refuse sex to each other, unless you agree not to have sex for a little while, in order to spend time in prayer. Then Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 In my opinion that is what should be done, though I don’t know of anything the Lord said about this matter. 7 I wish that all of you were like me, but God has given different gifts to each of us.
8 Here is my advice for people who have never been married and for widows. You should stay single, just as I am. 9 But if you don’t have enough self-control, then go ahead and get married. After all, it is better to marry than to burn with desire.[b]
10 I instruct married couples to stay together, and this is exactly what the Lord himself taught. A wife who leaves her husband 11 should either...

10 I instruct married couples to stay together, and this is exactly what the Lord himself taught. A wife who leaves her husband 11 should either stay single or go back to her husband. And a husband should not leave his wife.
12 I don’t know of anything else the Lord said about marriage. All I can do is to give you my own advice. If your wife isn’t a follower of the Lord, but is willing to stay with you, don’t divorce her. 13 If your husband isn’t a follower, but is willing to stay with you, don’t divorce him. 14 Your husband or wife who isn’t a follower is made holy by having you as a mate. This also makes your children holy and keeps them from being unclean in God’s sight.
15 If your husband or wife isn’t a follower of the Lord and decides to divorce you, then you should agree to it. You are no longer bound to that person. After all, God chose you and wants you to live at peace. 16 And besides, how do you know if you will be able to save your husband or wife who isn’t a follower?
and yes the divorce rate is horrible...NOW mind you...THESE ARE NOT GODS WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE MORTALS WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOTTTT GODS!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just stupid to have to qoute a bible verse to make a point PERIOD. its nice to know all the gay bashers are sooooo concerned about the saving all the Gay and homosexual's souls from hell...huh?...or is it for personal gain??? Or because you dont want to exsplain to your family how its ok for two people to love each other....ohhhh yea....didnt the bible say something about that??? Whats the greatest gift of all????LOVE!!!! Look it up yourself. Dont just pick bible verses to fit what ever you want ppl to see.....get over yourselves and love....honestly love THEE NEIGHBOR!!! (which is suppose to be EVERYONE you come into contact with!!)
The Bible contradicts itself at the same time. Look up the story on Noah's son. The good parts of t he Bible, is what we need to focus on.
Am, that's all.
It is also difficult to know how to take the New Testament passages. Wikipedia estimates the slave population in 1st century Rome as over one-third of the total population. Most of the intercourse going on therefore was between masters and slaves, and there is a better term than "gay sex" for such activity: rape. That Paul et al. were condemning rape, I have no problem with at all. Was Paul also talking about consensual gay behavior? Since people in consensual relationships weren't complaining about their situation, I see no reason why Paul would have needed to address the issue. If you actually read the New Testament epistles, they are very focused on the actual, real problems of the first century Church. To me, interpreting Paul's comments as a condemnation of rape makes perfect sense, seeing them as an aside directed toward a nonexistent problem is much more of a stretch.
I don*t know much about the Bible. Was Paul speaking of what G~d*s views were and if not what does the Bible say G~d and Jesus said about gays?
-The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully. - Richard Dawkins
