It was recently reported that Future Presiuden Romny's "believe in America" campaign buttons were made in China.
Sadly, (for the left) that turned out to be a lie.

The button image actually came from a site called Zazzle:

The Romney button, the hand and the "made in China" were all added afterward.

We expect the left to stoop low in their smear campaigns. We just wish they would do a better job of it.

If this is the same exact button why was "Believe in America" recreated using a different font and why was the Romney campaign website added? It could just as easily be that the zazzle version is the fake. Rather trivial issue, though I don't see why republicants would be so concerned and disavow this, since their party endorses outsourcing as part of "free market" economics. Wouldn't Ayn Rand order HER buttons from China and just tell people to STFU? republicants should grow a spine and stand up for what they believe in, in this case: "so what if they were made in China?"

A whole lot easier to photoshop out the hand and "made in China" imprint than the other way around. I think in this instance Occam's razor applies.

Wow. Still no "proof" of anything. Someone needs to collect a bunch of the Romney campaign buttons and take a look at the back. As mentioned here, these two buttons are not the same ones. Also, has anyone taken a look at the Obama buttons? Most likely, ALL of the campaign marketing goods and materials are made "off-shore". That's the way it is now a days. :-( At the very least, the button BLANKS are almost certainly not "made in USA". Printing *might* have been done in USA. ???

Actually the Obama buttons all have a Union stamp on them, so they are made here. I don't know about the rest of his materials...but I did hear a story on NPR in the weeks leading up to the Democratic Convention about how the local unions were getting a boost because the Democrats were mainly using Union workers and print shops.

Zazzle actually does also have the exact button from the picture... the article just used a different one. The point is that Zazzle uses the same image for all of its buttons on their site. They just change the image on the face of the button. If you look at the meme, the reflections and spacial orientation of the buttons are EXACTLY the same. It was clearly a photoshop.

That doesn't prove that they weren't made in China. For all you know it was the left calling the right out on their hypocrisy. Until someone comes forward with a button that has an American union stamp, you can't say one thing or another.

The website (victorystore.com) to which you refer is not the website that sells official Romney merchandise, this one is. http://store.mittromney.com/a... ALL Made in USA labels. I really wish people would take some initiative to look up facts than to swallow whatever BS that flies by.
