i supported a Republican once, based on his personality, charm and smarts ... he IMMEDIATELY let the fox into the hen-house of the Federal agency he was appointed to head ... NEVER AGAIN ... the members of the GOP are like the scorpion who hitches a ride across the stream from a frog ... when the frog asks why the scorpion stung him before they got to the other side (meaning that they'd both die), the scorpion answered "i'm a scorpion ... it's my nature to sting you" ... so too Republicans: they can't help themselves: they've convinced themselves that it is patriotic, god-fearing and healthy to be greedy and to fcuk-over anybody who is so weak as to be unable to defend him-/her-self, and to rape and pillage the earth ("conservative" as in "resist all regulation and conservation", not as in "conserve the good things that exist by taking care of them). they pretend to be christian (most of them) but they subscribe to the social-darwinist philosophy of the survival of the fittest in all things ... hypocrites one and all, often disguised as nice people ... it's all a facade IMHO.
