Yep, the Pro-Loonie, Maniacal Morality Mongers want you
to clog up your God's down time with prayers to rain on Sen. Obama's
out door speech on Thursday. This video was pulled from Focus
on the Family when it's Stupidity came to light. Will you Pray?
If this doesn't apply to your religion then don't get offended.
If this does apply to your Evangelical leaders and you are going to pray for rain or have prayed for rain during Sen. Obama's speech. Then Go ahead and get offended, you need a reality check anyway.
P.S. Be careful what you pray for Hurrican Gustav is headed into the Gulf of Mexico during the Republican Convention.

They are the MOST hate filled, violent, assinine, ignorant people on Earth today, and I really pity them. All we can do is pray for them ... I suppose.
I don't think it's a waste of their time to pray for rain, but certainly God has better things to do than rain on Obama's speech, eh?
Peace ~
There are real Christians and then there are the pseudo-christians. The pseudo-christians tend to think their way is the ONLY way. They're pretty narrow and rude, to say the least. The true Christians ... well, you know one when you meet one!
I don't care whether or not it rains on Obama's speech, believe me! But I don't like to stand around and watch the hate-filled pseudo-christians spreading lies, fear, and hatred. Especially towards gays, lesbians, or anyone with a different veiwpoint than theirs. They are TRULY hateful and in my opinion, they are the false prophets in the 21st century. But, as Christ taught us, we need only pray for them.
:::stepping off my soapbox:::
Now, on with the show! Ha! Ha!
Jesus is my main Man. Has been for years. I strive to embrace ALL of God's children, rather than spreading hatred, lies, and fear about them. When I say all, I really mean all. (Homeless, addicts, prostitutes, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, etc. etc. etc.) Okay, I'm human. I fail at times ... none of us are perfect, and none of us are judge and jury!
The "pseudo christians" tend to AVOID all of God's children EXCEPT the ones who agree with them ... who are "saved" (where in the Bible they came up with the word "saved" is beyond me!)
They spread lies, hatred, and fear about gays, lesbians, and any other sect they think are sinners. I choose not to be like them, and I choose to be more open-minded ... sort of like Jesus was when he walked the Earth.
Remember when he told the angry, judgmental, righteous people who were going to stone the woman to death for adultery: "Let him who is WITHOUT sin cast the first stone." THAT is an oxymoron with the pseudo-christians of the 21st century. They are judgmental, unrelenting, horrible, evil, hateful, spiteful people. VERY judgmental. If you're not a pseudo-christian, then you needn't worry. But if you are, God will judge you as you judge others. Period.
Sorry you don't like my opinions, but I don't need to answer to you, my dear. I have i...'

Sorry you don't like my opinions, but I don't need to answer to you, my dear. I have it on higher authority that I'm on the right track.
Thanks for you input, though! God Bless! :)
Jesus also set examples of not judging others unfairly, as in the example I cited previously. Perhaps we ARE closer in belief than we know.
I'm the type of person who cannot tolerate closed-minded, narrow people. I can love them and pray for them (from afar!) but knowing I cannot change anyone but myself (or my reactions to others' behaviors!) I try to simply live my Life according to my personal convictions and values. And naturally, being a human being, I screw that up at times!! LOL
Have a great day! Thanks for the Biblical quotes ... perhaps it's time for me to begin studying scripture again! Especially in this era of chaos and unrest ...
God Bless :)
