The Biggest Spender: Obama Has Spent More Money Than Anyone In History of World

Evil 1 2012/06/19 12:09:53

It’s official. President Barack Obama is the biggest spender in the history of the world. And that is not hyperbole. Like a shopaholic who denies the addiction, Obama has consistently been in denial about his reckless spending addiction. Despite President Barack Obama’s denials, though, an analysis by Forbes shows there has not been a greater spender than Obama.

According to Forbes, “Obama’s own fiscal 2013 budget ... shows federal spending increasing from $2.983 trillion in 2008 to an all time record $3.796 trillion in 2012, an increase of 27.3%” and, “before Obama there had never been a deficit anywhere near $1 trillion.”

In addition, Obama had four consecutive budget deficits of over a trillion dollars and, in just one term, will “will have increased the national debt as much as all prior Presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, combined.”

And according to the study, budget proposals supported by Obama and Congressional Democrats will increase federal spending to the point where it will become 80% of the GDP if not reined in.

And in the short term, according to Forbes:

Obama’s 2013 budget proposes to spend $47 trillion over the next 10 years, the most in world history by far, increasing federal spending by $1.5 trillion above the current CBO baseline.

The first step in treating Obama’s spending addiction will be for him to admit he has a problem. What should scare Americans is Obama seems a long way from even realizing he has a spending problem let alone admitting that he does.

You know, when the lies are this easy, it's not even that much fun to shoot you down. For instance, “before Obama there had never been a deficit anywhere near $1 trillion.” is a LIE. The deficit for Fiscal Year 2009, Bush's last year in office, was the HIGHEST deficit in ANY year, and every one of Obama's fiscal years has been lower:

    FY 2013*: $901 billion
    FY 2012*: $1,327 billion
    FY 2011: $1,300 billion
    FY 2010: $1,293 billion
    FY 2009: $1,413 billion

Also, spending is proceeding at the LOWEST rate in over 30 years.

    dfgdfgdfgdfgd

In fact, each of the Bush tax giveaways to millionaires and the Bush war of lies in Iraq ALONE have added more to our national debt than every penny President Obama has added since the day he took office.

"We have a spending problem" is probably the single biggest Right Wing Lie they have tried to push since 2000, when "Bush Won" set the all time record for biggest lie in history.

Just more BS and 'fuzzy math' by the left to try and hide Obama's out of control spending and the fact that he is a complete and utter failure.

The President's spending is not "out of control". The President has shown foresight and wisdom in guiding our economy back from the brink of Depression, and the fact that he has been so successful in spite of the deliberate efforts of the Republicans to prevent any economic recovery is all the more impressive.

His spending is not out of control in the eyes of the liberal/progressives as their 'entitlement mentality' doesn't let them see the facts or accept the truth. He has driven this country to the edge of the cliff and is now trying to push it over. Anyone who understands basic economics (and looks past the liberal/progressive BS and 'fuzzy math') can realize this. Obama has been at the helm for three and a half years. It's time for him to take responsibility for his reckless spending and quit blaming Bush and anyone else that he can. His failures are becoming more apparent on a daily basis and it is hilarious to watch him and his followers try to hide the truth with their BS.

It doesn't matter how many times you repeat "reckless spending", it just is not even close to reality. The fact is that spending is more under control now than it's been since 1999. George Bush drove us to the edge of that cliff, and it was only thanks to President Obama's stimulus plan that we didn't go over it. Since the stimulus stepped in we have seen continuous, if sluggish, growth of our economy, and if the Republicans would stop blocking anything and everything that might actually help the American people that sluggishness would disappear overnight. If you want to talk basic economics then I think you need to brush up on John Maynard Keynes. His approach to economics ended the Great Depression, and has ended the Great Bush Recession. Right now the WORST thing we could do for our economy is to cut vital services like food stamps, unemployment insurance, social security or medicare. And the BEST thing we could do is to restore the nation's revenues by returning to pre-Reagan tax levels.

And it doesn't matter how much BS you throw out trying to cover up Obama's out of control spending. You can't hide the truth and facts no matter how much you try. Unless of course you are of the liberal/progressive mindset that chooses to ignore them. And I ignore the blame Bush mantra as it is nothing but BS whining in feeble attempts to hide Obamas failure. And I don't need to brush up on economics it is you that needs to get a realisitic grasp on them and get away from the liberal/progressive lies, 'fuzzy math' and sense of entitlement. And as for returning to the pre-Reagan tax levels. It will have no effect on the economy and even Obama's economist and the CBO have said so. The minute amount of money collected by these increases would be so minimal it would not even be noticed. The size of government needs to be diminished and the out of control spending in Washington must be stopped. You cannot spend what you don't have.

And I feel that anyone who actually needs help and assistance should receive it from our government (food stamps, housing assistance, etc.). It is those that are scamming the system that need to be addressed. Also the hidden 'pork' in every bill that Congress tries to pass or does pass needs to be eleminated. Our government is broken and needs to be fixed or we will end up just like Greece and Spain, and it will be much sooner than anyone expects.

Greece and Spain are both in trouble because they were dumb enough to think that spending cuts would cure a major recession.

That is the most ridiculous statement you have made to date. They are in trouble because of their out of control spending for decades (like Obama is now doing) and their entitlements. When you have more people retired living off the government than are working it doesn't take a genius to figure out that you can't collect enough taxes to pay for the entitlements. But I wouldn't expect someone who lives off the government to understand this.
  • ProudPr... Evil 1 2012/06/20 11:48:14

First, we don't have more people retired than working, and only a relatively small percentage of retired people require government support. Second, if we would eliminate the cap on social security taxes so that while actual working people pay that tax on their entire annual salary, people like Mitt Romney only pay it on their first week's salary, we wouldn't have to worry about the costs at all. Third, neither Greece nor Spain NOR THE UNITED STATES have a problem with "out of control spending". As I showed you earlier, we are spending at the lowest growth rate in over 30 years. Each year under President Obama has had a lower annual deficit than the last year of Bush's term. Last summer when the Tea Party was holding the nation's debt hostage the President offered to make 4 TRILLION dollars in cuts in exchange for a 0.2% increase on the second million dollars of the top 340,000 Americans, and was turned down. Romney has publicly said that if he was elected he would not agree to $10 in cuts balanced by $1 in revenue increases.

Bottom line is this - if you are truly worried about "out of control" spending you have no option but to support President Obama.

I was talking about Greece and Spain in regards to the retirees and entitlements. The US is headed in that same direction with Obama leading the way. And only someone who is avoiding the truth and facts about out of control spending would vote for Obama. But then again Obama supporters choose to ignore the truth and facts. They would rather believe the BS.

So where's all this out of control spending?

Are you being serious? If you are that is one of the most ridiculous questions that I have ever seen you ask.

You keep complaining about all this "out of control spending", yet the budget numbers clearly demonstrate that for the last three years we have been spending at a LOWER rate than earlier. So where's the "extravagance"? What is President Obama spending money on that is in any way disproportionate to past spending or that could be considered "reckless"? The stimulus successfully energized our economy and created over 4 million American jobs. The loans to save the auto industry have been paid back with interest. The cost of maintaining the war in Iraq is gone.

[And believe me, I have in my time asked some REALLY ridiculous questions - this isn't one of them LMAO! When I was a kid I got thrown out of class for asking where Cain's wife came from.]

And you keep spewing the 'fuzzy math' that the liberal/progressives throw out. He has out spent every previous President and is out of control. You can try to candycoat it or hide it with BS but it doesn't work. The stimulus was a complete and utter failure. His green energy money was a waste (unless of course you're Obama then you get it back in campaign donations). He has done nothing to generate jobs or turn the economy around.
  • ProudPr... Evil 1 2012/06/21 14:10:41

He hasn't outspent every previous President. He's spent about a third what Bush spent, and unlike Bush, much of whose spending was wasted on a war of lies and rewards to the richest Americans, President Obama's spending has actually helped people, like the 4 and a half million Americans who now have jobs thanks to the stimulus.

Just more liberal BS and 'fuzzy math'. He needs to take responsibility for his actions instead of continually playing the childish blame game. It really is pathetic and does nothing but showcase that he is a failure and a narcissist. Too bad that there are so many out there that are either too dense to see the truth or refuse to accept it.
