My mother worked as a dispatcher, so literally my mother's work number was 911. I've had to call it for emergencies (Now she works as a helicopter dispatcher), however, my young self didn't really understand that it was for emergencies only.

Oddly enough, at school, I wrote that down as my emergency contact number and I was told to go to time our because I was being 'sassy'. When my mother picked me up, The woman asked her what the number was, and my mother looked at the paper and told her, 'It actually is 911, technically. Next time instead of putting my daughter in the corner, ask her why she says that instead of making an ass out of yourself and assuming she doesn't know'.

It's probably not really the answer you wanted, but it's a funny story.
