Texas man facing death penalty for causing death of unborn baby after brutally attacking woman. Should the Bill of Rights' "Right to Life" protect unborn babies from being murdered by doctors violating their Hippocratic Oaths as well?

Many other states besides Texas have laws that make it a crime to murder babies before birth as well, but not if it's a doctor doing the murder. Doctor's should not get immunity from criminal prosecution.

Only in cases where they certify that it is MEDICALLY NECESSARY in order to save the life of the mother should it be legal to kill a kid before birth.

No one has the right to "play God" with another's life. We all began our lives the same route. And no one should act all "uppity," calling for the deaths of others, simply because they made it safely past the first 9 months of their lives.

the taking of a life in any way, shape or form needs to be punishable...in more ways than one. Murdering babies before or after birth is criminal, and anyone who takes that life needs to be punished not only by our judicial system but by the greatest judge of all....

Fetuses is what unborn babies are called. After being born babies are called other things as well. But the fact that they are clinically termed as fetuses doesn't negate the fact that they are babies before birth. If that were not the case, why would a woman who had a miscarriage say she lost her baby, instead of fetus? Also, a 9 month old "fetus" born late two weeks later is far more developed than a "preemie" baby born by Caesarean 5 months after conception.

By the way, I'm not into religion, but I don't let those who do tag me with the label "atheist," as you do. Think about it. For it wrongly implies that "theism" is a legitimate starting point, since "a-theism" in effect means "away from a belief in god." And it should be the reverse; namely: a belief in mysticism is "alogical" or "arational" [to distinguish it from irrational].

And a belief in mysticism is not necessary to have respect for human life.

A fetus is a human or it isn't. If it is human, elective abortions are murder. If it is NOT human, this man shouldn't be facing court at all as relates to the fetus.

I've written about this so much and so often that I am sick of my own words, so will stop at this point. I will say this is the slippery slope politicians and judges manage to get us in on a regular basis.

A "fetus" is merely the clinical term for a baby before birth. Just as babies after they are born are called by many names or terms. A "Progressive" pro-abortion woman who has a miscarriage will say she lost her baby, not fetus, same as any other woman would.
