Yes, at least we are certain that this molester will NEVER hurt another child again. We have no problem putting down a rabid dog, he got what he deserved. BRAVO, to the father....

as much as I rather not say this, sometimes I do feel that way about the situation. and if the guys gets changed with anything I feel it should be set as a lesser change because he was protecting the kid and did he actually mean to kill the guy?

I don't know how to put it in words, I don't agree with breaking the law but when a grown person violates a child that way the only thing they deserve is immediate death. If they are caught in the act and there is no doubt whatsover ever, the least they deserve is to be killed, I'd go for a little torture before hand but I don't think I could wait that time to wipe that scum off the face of the earth.

Absolutely...if this were not to happened, there is a strong possibility the bastard would get some liberal judge that would put him in Club Fed on our dime. THIS is one crime I would have no problem committing if I were to be faced with a similar scenario, and not only my kids but any child.

While I can understand the father's wrath towards the molester, he took the laws into his own hands. This is unacceptable except in cases of immediate defense of one's self or others. he should have used only as much force as was necessary to apprehend and hold the suspect for police. Then let justice take it's course.

You're wrong, the man deserves to die, and since there is no death penalty for such actions, I am fully in support of this man getting beaten to death for molesting a 4 year old child. He will do 20 years and come out to only do it again. Statistics show.

I am glad he lives in Taxes where he won't be prosecuted for protecting his daughter. The molester got what he deserved and now, the molester has been rehabilitated.

OTOH, huggablechuck makes a very good point: "dad" here definitely used more force than (most likely) would have been necessary to subdue the attacker and get him to stop.

i can't say that if i'd been in the dad's shoes, however, i wouldn't have done the same thing.

i'm sure the dad was feeling rage and frustration and was acting on "instinct" (to the extent we can say that humans have "instincts"). the emotional aspect of this act will most likely be seen to mitigate somewhat the responsibility for over-use of force with which dad might otherwise be charged.
