Congressional races and State races in Texas are in 2010. All our 435 Congress persons are up for grabs in 2010. I think only 34 U. S. Senate races will be in 2010 ?

Huge economic deficit damage has already been done by Barry and Pelousy. Heath$care could bankrupt us. GOP wins will signal Nobama and cronies that it is the beginning ot their Waterloo !

Mayor of Houston race will probably be a runoff unless Peter Brown-3 time council or Annise Parker-Ex Controller garner 50% of vote. Council handles money and finances anyway. 2 year term. 3 terms maximum. Mayor is leader of City Council meetings and figurehead-spokesman for events.
Other mayoral candidates probably do not stand a chance with voter turnout estimated at at only 30%. Pam Holm-3 time council could be surprise new City Controller !I think Brown will win. Parker is far left Dimocrat and progressive. Brown is also a Dimocrat. GOP does not have a good candidate. Other dumbocrat is ex-City Attorney with too much past baggage. Houston, Texas is a sanctuary city and has coddled to the minority groups for years. Many do not care who runs city these days. No tax increases can be initiated without voters anyway. City Council members are just not that powerful outside of their neighborhoods. City of Houston government will be the same old ho hum same old, no matter what.
