    There are two Targets near me. Both are so clean with phones on almost every aisle if you need help, and that help arrives within a couple of minutes. Everything is arranged so neatly ... from the clothing to appliances to CDs. Very nice... both stores.

    WalMart is nasty. Dirty. Stuff is piled everywhere. Mouse droppings on shelves. Some packages are ripped open by shoplifters. I wouldn't go there, but many people shopped there because they had so little money, but no one liked it. And then... a very nice dollar store opened not far from WalMart, a sort of mini Wal Mart but nice and clean like the Target. That little dollar store now does a booming business.

    Target seems cleaner, the lighting is better, the products are better, better selection and the staff seem more friendly overall. I cannot go into one of the local Target stores without 3 or 4 staff asking if I need assistance. My experience with Wal-Mart is usually me searching for a staff member under those harsh florescent lights and I rarely find what I came to find.

    Target will NEVER GET A PENNY OF MY MONEY,because when asked to donate to toys for tots they said "we only support gay and Lesbian causes the military does not fit our giving strategy...

    We have a very nice Super Target near our house in downtown Orlando. The customers are courteous, as are most of the staff. Walmarts here in Orlando have lots of rude customers and staff.

    I mean, I’d love to sit here and say that I hate big corporate America and lecture everyone here about abusing Chinese cheap labor and demolishing small businesses. But, at the end of the day, I’m a broke college kid and Wal-Mart’s cheap.

    No SEARS. Sears Holdings owns Sears and it owns K-mart. You couldn't pay me to walk into a K-mart. 6 months ago a Sears store was converted from a Sears to a K-mart. The K-mart management team took over. LESS than 3 months went by and the store became the typical pigpen that almost all K-marts look like.

    SEARS stores are kept clean and neat. They have a better staff and overall better products.

    Target isn't as huge and trashy feeling.

    Example:
    My WalMart has McDonalds inside.
    walmart mcdonalds

    My Target has a Starbucks.

    Do you see the distinction?

    One offers a nicer environment to hang out with your spouse or friend and better tasting food and drinks... McDonalds is just trashy and serves greasy crap.
