For Obama's advisers, rising gas prices pose a threat to his re-election bid because they could undermine the benefits of a payroll tax cut that he made the centerpiece of his jobs agenda last fall -- Congress approved the tax cut extension in February -- and throttle the economic recovery.

His position on Keystone has be unambivalent...until now. He opposed it after Congress approved it. His attempt to blame Congress for its failure is something only the biggest Obamade guzzzler will swallow...which apparently includes the Chicago Tribune and the LA Times, the press standard bearers of his brand printed skew-news-vision.
On a personal note, I'm paying $4.19@gal. for regular I suppose compared to other economically upbeat areas of the U.S.A. in not that bad.
