Swing State: Democrat Governor Signs Law Blocking ObamaCare

Evil 1 2012/06/20 13:42:49

When they first rammed ObamaCare through Congress, Democrats predicted that Americans would come to love the new law over time. Nancy Pelosi explained that Congress simply needed to pass the law so we could find out what's in it. David Axelrod predicted, "health care, over time, is going to become more popular." It hasn't quite happened that way.

For evidence of how unpopular ObamaCare has become look to the swing state of New Hampshire. Today, John Lynch, Democrat governor of the state signed into law legislation prohibiting the state from establishing state health insurance exchanges, as called for in ObamaCare.

A move in the right direction.

From a different article at the same source: "Gov. Lynch has never publicly expressed support of or opposition to Obamcare. But in January, he did advocate the creation of a state health insurance exchange.

Lynch spokesman Colin Manning said Lynch signed this bill because it was amended to allow the state to cooperate in the establishment of a federal health care exchange -- and because it is probably too late at this point for New Hampshire to create its own exchange. That does not sound like the position of a man who has suddenly turned on Obamacare."

From the article referenced in this post:

'The surprising thing is that Lynch signed the law. He could have let the bill become law without his signature. He seems to have calculated that such a law would be very popular and watched to snatch a bit of credit for it.'

Based on his signing the bill it seems his actions speak volumes as to where he stands on Obamacare.

And the one I cited was posted later. It's dangerous to make large assumptions based on a single action and not looking at the whole picture.

It is not an assumption. He signed the bill into law when he didn't have to. Actions many times speak louder than words.

It is an assumption that he opposed the health care act based on a single action. I'm not disputing that he signed the bill. I'm saying to look at his reasons for it, and his overall view of the health care act.

And I'm saying by his signing the law, which he didn't have to do speaks for itself. He could have not signed the bill and it still would have become law. The statement by his spokesman (not the Governor himself) after the fact is just typical political manuevering to cover his a** from any repercussions from the White House. Lynch more than likely didn't want to be 'dead to them' as Mayor Cory Booker is for opposing their agenda.

Any question what a second round of usurping our Oval office would look like?

Every morning would begin with "All rise, and come to order".

What a mess Obama has made of America. This guy's presidency is making Jimmy Carter's look half way respectable.
