It would seem that the liberal side has discovered a new terror tactic. They either call 911 or tap into the target's phone line and report a violent crime to incite an all out emergency response. Is this the latest in cowardly tactics or do you see it as a legitimate action?

Erik Erickson, editor-in-chief of RedState.com and a CNN political contributor, reports that he is the latest conservative to be "SWAT"ed.

Local police received a call from an individual claiming to be Erickson, stating that an accidental shooting had occurred at his home. Says Erickson, "Tonight, my family was sitting around the kitchen table eating dinner when sheriffs deputies pulled up in the driveway."

In a statement to Breitbart News, Erickson further explained:

I can say that the Sheriff's Deputy told me someone had called from my number, giving my home address, claiming an accidental shooting.

Whether or not they actually gave the number, I don't know. My actual guess is that, given how we have our number set up, someone called 911 from a blocked number and gave our home address.

It just proves that the progressive scourge will go to every extreme to fan the flames of hatred internationally, to overwhelm our economy, national security, our safety nets like SS and Med, and even our local police departments to destroy America in every way possible.
I hope they catch the perp in this case, charge him with giving a false report and fine him for the costs.
Typical thug tactics from those Obamabots who believe the ends justify the means. Time to get busy America, we need to rid our nation of the these people who are at war with America from within.

This is just a tactic to cause fear among Conservatives by the liberals. the more they can use scare tactics and and disrupt the lives of innocent people then they feel they have accomplished something . It is underhanded and wrong but that is the thinking of the libeerals

Actually there are apps that will allow you to change the number you are calling from to another persons phone number.
This is legitimate, I have read about several instances.

Someone needs to take a good look at that. What legitimate reason could there be to changing your number to someone else's?

It would pee me off to receive a call from someone and them using another persons number. Normally if the caller ID doesn't show the name ..I don't answer because usually it is a sales call or survey and I don't do them

Yep....those are the facts. There are apps that allow you to change the number that displays when you are calling someone.

Creepy yes....but it's been done, and apparently is still happening.

From RedState dot com as reported to Breitbart "News?" Well, as long as you are keeping an open mind, ha! Objectivity in reporting is hard to come by in your neck of the political woods.

Add caller ID spoofing and a fake 911 call & someone could get seriously hurt. If some innocent individual is killed, I'd vote for murder 1.

Most likely reckless endangerment or if someone is actually killed it would probably be 2nd degree. It would be next to impossible to prove intent for 1st degree.

When someone takes a gun into a bank intending to rob it and anyone gets killed, everyone else in the car gets charged with murder. There is more intent making a false call knowing armed SWAT will arrive than sticking up a bank with no intent of shooting. It's like playing Russian roulette with someone else's head. This isn't drunken driving and it isn't reckless, it is deliberately putting someone in harm's way. They clearly intended for heavily armed SWAT to arrive with the safety off.

I'd charge both and see what the jury says. If I was on the jury, they'd get death.

    And very dangerous.

When I worked in Detroit one drug house called the police to report shots fired at a competing location. After the police arrived there the SWAT team came busting in on a preplanned raid. It lead to a shoot out between the two groups of police and two officers died.
