Surprise! Jobless Claims Skyrocket After Election; PA, OH Worst Hit

doofiegirl BTO-t- BCRA-F ~PWCM~ 2012/11/15 16:05:54
The Department of Labor has announced that new jobless claims rose by a staggering 78,000 in the first week after the election, reaching a seasonally-adjusted total of 439,000. Over the past year, and in the weeks leading up to the election, jobless claims were said to be declining, dipping as low as 339,000, with the media proclaiming that they had reached the “lowest level in more than four years.” Now, suddenly, the news seems far less rosy.

From the Department of Labor press release this morning:

In the week ending November 10, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 439,000, an increase of 78,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 361,000. The 4-week moving average was 383,750, an increase of 11,750 from the previous week’s revised average of 372,000.

Some of the new claims, especially in New Jersey, were due to Hurricane Sandy–but these were offset by a decline in claims filed in New York. The highest numbers of new filings came from Pennsylvania and Ohio, where there were thousands of layoffs in the construction, manufacturing, and automobile industries.

Add to this bad news that the abyss of the unemployed, underemployed is filling at a rate that is scarey, the NEW ASTERISK to the Death Care bill, justed told to us, and not in the bill, that each and every state will have to fill in the HOLE on financing Obuttman Care, to the tune of 10 to 100 MILLION DOLLARS. So not only will the states that broke/cheated for an Obuttman win suffer, SO WILL THE REST OF US. Right now with the track that he has us on THIRD WORLD COUNTRY WOULD BE A DELIGHT FOR US TO HOPE FOR.

The next stop by this Administration will be to kill the railroads & commercial truckers.

The CEO of Union Pacific warned Obama the railoads will go under if the 200 coal power plants are closed. Coal is our bread & butter accounting for over 80% of our business, he stated.

The loss of coal & power will put more strain on other energy sources causing widespread energy shortages & price hikes.

This will result in the layoff of millions of more people.

The economy will pass the point of no return of any hope & chance for a recovery.

Americans are too stupid to see this coming. All they care about is the Great Race & Dancing With The Stars.

The House Of Cards is coming down.

Surprise! "W" started this economic catastrophe (55% of Americans agree), so what exactly is your point? Are you saying that we should just return to Bush's failed policies of trickle down economics and cutting taxes for the wealthy? Sorry, but the rest of us, the majority of Americans, aren't buying into that load of crap anymore. You lose.

My family's business is gone, too, along with 100 jobs at salaries upward of $35/hour. Most of those people are now working for $10/hour, with some taking early retirement or doing odd jobs for cash and barter.

Obama promised OH, PA and the rust belt states jobs, recovery and prosperity. Obama would never lie. Now those that voted for him can celebrate their economic recovery.

Obama recently reviewed the storm damaged northeast and confirmed his administration is succeeding in solving all problems quickly with little to no social discomfort. Obama will restore industry, income and savings. He would never lie to those wanting to believe in his glory.

Obama views storm damage BO see the damage

The banks are preparing themselves for another round of foreclosures. The recent upstart of new housing starts are temporary due to low intrest rates.

Once intrest rates go up, & it will to contain inflation, new construction will come to a hault.

Not sure why anyone would be surprised. This was very easily predicted, and it will only get worse. Lockheed was told to delay the list of over 100,000 layoffs until after the election. Not that the libatards would have cared, because most of them don't work anyway.

Thanks to all President Obama has done for our country. If he continues doing so much we will not have a country. Remember the Keystone Pipeline that would have created 20,000 new jobs plus? Thanks to the president we don’t have it.
