Completely unconstitutional. SCOTUS cannot institute a tax, neither can POTUS. Bad law, worse medicine. Welcome to the USSA, comrades!

the bill passed, the pres didnt set it, Roberts re wrote it,
Lots of people disrespect the lack of care for americans who cant afford it, but you didnt care then, why now?

The following pretty much sums it up:
"Let me get this straight . . . We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase & fined if we don't, which purportedly covers at least ten million more people without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a Dumbo President who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!" it is a presumption that I 'didn't care' about others. Personally, nobody cared that I earned my healthcare coverage thru donating my body to this nation for 20 yrs. But now, one of the perks for having done so is that I only pay $265/yr for some of the world's best medical care. The other 99% of my peers had a choice to join me but didn't and now a substantial number of Americans want to whine about it.

So I don't really care what anybody else does to meet their healthcare needs. It's just nice to know that people are now going to be covered unlike my friend Linda who wasn't and opted to put a bullet in her head istead because the lung cancer was just too painful

It only serves to reduce the tax burden as we are already paying for the poors health insurance, and people who can't afford health insurance already have it.

but for you and the rest of us; the president took an oath of office that includes trying to the best of his ability to do those things that support as many people as possible. The GOP solution of 'don't do anything for anybody and keep the suffering equal' is just a poor plan. And please refrain from calling a legally elected president as piece of Dogsh*t.

My son's are still in uniform serving this nation and this president faithfully and honorably regardless of how they feel about him. I'm sure your neighbor appreciates your inability to be of any useful help whatsoever. But this president is not satisfied with that level of impotence

I do disagree with the SCOTUS decision. That does not change the fact that Obamacare stays.
If enough people want this law, and law it is, not to be the law, these people better make sure they are in the voting booths on 11/06/2012. The same people must make it clear to the candidates they are going to vote for in November that if the candidates win and betray them, it will be a one-term proposition regardless of who is opposing them in the next election. It might be Alinsky, Stalin of Mao Tse Tung himself and your vote will go to the opposite side regardless.
Enough of it. If an employee does not perform the job the employer expects from the employee to perform, the employee is terminated, regardless of what the replacement might be.
We are the employers all the time, not only during the hiring process.
If you really want your representative to represent you, asked him one simple question at the town hall meeting.
For how many years an elected public official should serve to be eligible for electorate sponsored pension plan and health insurance beyond her/his service?

The reason this administrtion fought so hard to call it anything but a tax was because if it was a tax it would be unconstitutional. Isn't the Supreme Court supposed to rule based on the constitution?

I agree with the decision as a matter of constitutional law, and with the law as a matter of public policy. If someone doesn't purchase insurance, and then gets a serious illness that costs more than he can afford to treat, the taxpayers will end up picking up the tab for treatment at a public hospital or in emergency rooms. It is only fair that he pay more for this government benefit than people who purchase insurance.

Patriotism and Nationalism are two separate things.

Hitler and his Nazi follower considered themselves Patriots.

They were not Patriots. They were rabid Nationalists and Xenophobes, much like today's modern American "Conservatives."

Hitler and the Nazis left their nation in a shambles . . . And that's exactly what Modern American "Conservatives" will do if we allow them to.

Modern Republicans (Latter Day Republicans) have as much in common with the Grand Old Party of Lincoln as Saint Mitt Romney has in common with a Real Saint.

No, I'm a concerned American, and I'm a realist, and I don't want to see the Constitution and my nation destroyed by Extremists.

Obama and his group are the rabid nationalists. They think all power belongs to the government and he has made a shambles of America with oppressive taxation on the working class, illegal and unconstitutional intrusion in business and banking (just like Hitler) and now destroying the health care system. It's one thing to drink Obama's KoolAid, but don't dive in and swim in it...
