Do high-pitched voices annoy you? Evidently, deeper voices are better, especially if you want to be an effective leader. Research at the University of Miami suggests that not only do people prefer their male leaders to have deep voices -- but they also prefer their female leaders to have low voices as well.
Do you think it's actually better for your career to have a lower voice? Do you prefer deeper voices over high-pitched ones yourself?

A super helpful new study from Can't Stop, Won't Stop U...niversity of Miami suggests that we, as a lowing aggregate of voting cattle, respond strongest to the most gravelly, Clint Eastwood lower among us when we're deciding on who to put at the head of a stampede.
That means that both men and women, the research suggests (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), not only prefer their male leaders to have deep, baritone voices — they also prefer their female leaders to have low voices.

A deeper voice also gives a obvious advantage when making speeches as it comes across more commanding than a high pitched voice, I challenge you to find a president that had a high pitched voice.
These efforts have an emotional impact on the target audience. And lamentably, people judge more strongly on emotional cues than on logic. The "best" candidate is the one who puts on the best show, within one's own personal biases.
Woo some of those women could be men, watch out guys those "gals" could be packing and I don't mean heat.
But should be "tried for treason".
They lie their way into office and lie their way on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I've noticed that a lot of women modulate their voices up when speaking to a man they're attracted to. Most of us males seem to respond favorably, in that context.
My theory is that it communicates submissiveness and even plays to a man's paternal instinct. If I'm right, that would be the last thing a woman would want to do when seeking a role of authority and trying to convey strength/competence.
