Spider20 2012/08/10 02:16:12No+7Newsflash America...this economic downturn from the last few years has another, delayed consequence that is going to hit hard in the years to come....many of the long term unemployed have exhausted their retirment savings trying to stay alive over these last few years...they turned to using retirement savings when the unemployment ran out fro example....so there's a boatload of people out there who will not be able to retire and/or will become a big problem for society/government to have to deal with in the future....

they claim no inflation.........yet Gasoline has almost doubled
yet all types of food have nearly doubled
My State and county taxes go up,..and they claim its because the fed isnt helping
them enough.
My utility bills have all gone up..electricity is higher, water is higher
because obama wants to close Coal fired power plants...and go EXPENSIVE GREEN...
My health insurance at work costs much more....they claim its because obamacare
has added dependants up to 26 yrs old..who dont even have to live in the same home..
and when the rest of Obamacare kicks in ..it will go higher..
In all seriousness, though - I think this failed "tax the rich" policy is really hurting a lot of people. Not only is my current employer edgy about growth and limiting raises and promotions even though she knows it could hurt her, but other employers are wary of hiring the qualified people they need because of the boogeyman under the bed Obama created. I almost don't care who is running, and would probably vote for Howdy-Doody just to get Obama out of office.
I'm at a point in my life I don't care or need to worry what anything costs. That's because I was a cheapsake in my younger years and did without. Now when I have time to enjoy life, it is sweeter than it would have been if I had like so many do spend beyond their means when younger.
of my life. I have given all my life to help people and God has rewarded me both
monetarily and in every way imaginable. :-)
This is a great post Shepard as it enlightens us all to the importance of saving money
and being prepared when the unforeseen circumstances happens in our lives.
Everyone should have a nest egg and a emergency fund to fall back on.
I could subsist off of what i have saved for the next 5 years at 30K a year and have some left over. But i won't spend any of it until i retire.
