STRICKLAND: All Romney Has to Do is Release His Tax Returns

Look what happened when Romney released year 2009, and partial 2010, a BS half lie political ad came out. 'Mitt Romney made over 20 Million Dollars but only paid 15(?)% in taxes on it-less then someone in the middle class. ' Obama, the DEM>.Party, SuperPac, whoever-FAILED TO MENTION that almost ALL OF THAT 20 MILLION was 'interest, dividend,bond, EARNINGS' and it is taxed at 15(?)% for the rich, middle, etc.

But it served it purpose, RIGHT? Put out a lie, half lie, and see how long it flies.... as long as some NON QUESTIONING people who will vote see it and get angry AT ROMNEY'S WEALTH!!!!!

It's not a question about wealth. It's a question about integrity. A presidential hopeful needs to be completely transparent about his taxes. After all, Romney's ol' DAD set the precedence for full transparency and disclosure by serving up 12 years of returns. Obama released 11 years. Only someone who has something to HIDE will refuse to release his taxes - and this will be the overwhelming narrative all the way to November.

Romney has already released his 2010 tax return and is about to
release his 2011 return. After all the huffing and puffing by the media
demanding those returns, the follow-up story vanished remarkably quickly
when the only thing the return showed was that Romney pays millions of
dollars in taxes and gives a lot of money to charity.

Obama has divulged all his tax records. But Romney refuses to do so.

Not only that, but the main premise of Romney's campaign is that he is some sort of financial Wiz . . .And yet he won't allow us to see anything about his own finances, not even his personal tax records. That calls into question his claim of dominance in financial manners. And STILL he refuses to divulge his tax records.

Obviously Romney is hiding something that would absolutely sink his candidacy if it became known to voters.

. . . And trying to deflect attention from the FACT that Romney is not at all honest and forthright enough to divulge his tax records as other Presidential candidates have done for years.

I'm surprised McCain don't come out and simply say, without revealing details, that Romney's 23 years of tax returns are legit and consistent with what he's been telling us. Not just that, how about answering (himself), these questions;

Why did he destroy all the computer hard drives in his offices as Govenor in MA when he left office?

Why he destroyed all internal and operational records via (acting ceo of Bain) who was appointed by him to assume control of the Utah Olympics pending his running for Gov in MA. Destroy all internal records of the Olympics, in light of his commitment to provide said data to university,? It should be noted that the Utah Olympics was plagued with corruption and was the reason for reorg and his appt.

Why he doesn’t think government doesn’t help business after Bain and JP Morgan, as partners in AMC entertainment received (allowed to keep), $50M in State Income Taxes paid to subsidize his business and line his pockets. Does he think that the taxpayers didn’t have to make up that shortfall?, as well as the subsidy?

Does he think five deferments from the draft are patriotic while claiming he wished to be drafted.

Does he think hiding his business activities and profits off shore and in communist countries is paying his fair share or even patriotic?

Explain how this "short list" makes him worthy as our president?

First of all I lived in Ohio during Strickland's tenure. Why anyone would pay any attention to his opinion is beyond me.

His (Governor Romney) tax returns aren't anyone's business. Just as President Obama's school records aren't anyone's business.

If he released them people will now know that he has many illegitimate children, a second and third wife, and has not paid any federal income tax for the past 10 years. May also get him thrown in jail.

The rich have different rules to follow. Mitt makes ton of money but much of it is not subject to taxes or it is subject to a smaller tax rate. Not sure why regular income is subject to more taxes than investment income.

the reason for investments are taxed lower than income was because back when entrepreneurship was actually the backbone to our society those people needed investors to build their business so they lowered investment taxes to give an incentive to build a business... and say that is the reason he is hiding his taxes that should not affect his ability to lead this country... it is just another topic that the liberals will try to distract the country with

Income is income. It can be argued that labor is the backbone to our society. But give lots of advantages to investors so that they don't have to work. Bet Mitt didn't pay any taxes for 10 years just as what is alleged. Now if Mitt wants to disprove it, then release those files. Otherwise just admit that you are a favored person when it comes your wealth. Shame very few receive the same benefits.
