Statistics are like lampposts... you can use them to illuminate, or to lean on.

You can also use them to direct the attention of stupid people away from the hole into which they are about to fall.

The video is based on a LIE.

They written flash card's difference from the spoken audio shows that lie.

The visual stated 70% of all firearms seized in Mexico come from the US.

The actual fact is 70% of the weapons Mexico sends to the US to be traced are traced to the US. However Mexico only sends guns to be traced when they think they came from the US. There are many guns that are never submitted because they are obviously not from the US.

While Mexico refuses to state how many guns they've actually seized each year, the actual numbers based of the US Federal Government studies indicate somewhere between 15-25% of the weapons the cartels possess came from the US.

The vast majority of Cartel Weapons are not bought in the US.

They purchase full-auto AK-47s in crates of 1000 guns made in China and Turkey. These sell for around $100 per gun, which makes anyone with brains wonder why they're interested in semi-auto only AK style rifles that retail for over $400 each?

Many cartels actively recruit Mexican Police and Military, new fighters who bring their government issued weapons with them.

In addition, large numbers of US weapons sold to the Mexican Government have been found in Cartel weapons caches.

The basic fact is that the US only supplies a small portion of the Cartel weaponry, but as long as the Mexican Government can just blame the US gun laws, they don't have to take the blame for the problems.
