Republicans want to cut foor aid for the poor, so that the military does not face budget cuts. Under the agreement that created the Budget Super Committee, across the board budget cuts were to be made if the committee could not reach agreement. The committee did not reach agreement, and now the Republicans are trying to go back on it and change the rules. They want the cuts to food programs to the poor to be increased, so the military will not face cuts. The US military accounts for half of all miilitary spending in the world. We will spend over $700 billion this year. The country with the second highest military spending is China, which will spend about $110 billion.

To keep the military fat, the citizens must go hungry
Can this really be America?
sponse:
Feeding America is annually providing food to 37 million Americans, including 14 million children. This is an increase of 46 percent over 2006, when we were feeding 25 million Americans, including 9 million children, each year.
That means one in eight Americans now rely on Feeding America for food and groceries.
Feeding America's nationwide network of food banks is feeding 1 million more Americans each week than we did in 2006.
Thirty-six percent of the households we serve have at least one person working.
More than one-third of client households report having to choose between food and other basic necessities, such as rent, utilities and medical care.
The number of children the Feeding America network serves has increased by 50 percent since 2006.
I also think that while the GOP is against increasing jobs w/ govt jobs, civil service jobs and infrastructure...... which employs so many Americans and could employ many more... I think that every single person who has served this country with honor, should be guaranteed a job, civil service or otherwise, when they are no longer in the service. Every single one. Not one single vet should be unemployed, and for any of them to be, should be a crime. If people can not provide the jobs, the Govt should, period.
Watch the GOP argue that one.
Yeah, sure ... the Republicans want to "starve" people. They want to see old people and babies starving in the streets. They want to take away black people's right to vote. They want make women live in Taliban-like conditions. They actually WANT all those things to happen.
And if you believe any of that crap, then you're nothing but an intolerant hater. It's one thing to disagree with Republicans and conservatism, but quite another to paint them as heartless monsters.
But I guess when we have a liberal president with no record to run on, this sort of intolerance and hate is what liberals will push. Pretty pathetic.
The current Republican party is a disgrace. A wretched bunch of greedy, whiny, elitist, prick obstructionists. The problem is not the Obama administration. It's the desire of these fat bastards to steal taxpayer money and dupe fools into thinking it's for their own protection. That's what is pathetic.
Them stopping black people from voting
Funny when you are sarcastic you are right .
If that's good enough for our troops to eat,it's good enough for anybody else...
Also it would cut down drastically on people, scamming the system.
Anybody that's hungry and would turn it down,is probably after more then being helped out for a while...
