STARBUCKS Latte with your Chick-Fil-A???
August 7, 2012
The
fast-food social-issues war rages on. Last Wednesday there was
Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, which was a huge success and led to record
sales. (And at least one dude getting fired
for picking an unfortunate method of dissent.) And in response, last
Friday there was supposed to be a
People-of-the-Same-Gender-Kissing-Each-Other Day at Chick-fil-A, but it
ended up attracting more media than protesters.
How else are liberals in good standing supposed to
prove that people who disagree with them about gay marriage are evil
bigots who are bigoted and evil? How are they supposed to express their
righteous indignation? How are they supposed to vent?
Gay marriage activists are planning to swarm
Starbucks on Tuesday in an attempt to counter the record sales from last
week’s Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.The chicken chain enjoyed a surge of support during the Wednesday
event, dreamed up by former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee after
Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy went on the record backing the “biblical
definition of the family unit.”A follow-up protest from Chick-fil-A critics on Friday, which was dubbed Same Sex Kiss Day, was more subdued.
And by “more subdued,” they mean “completely ignored.”
Advocates for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender
rights are trying again Tuesday with National Marriage Equality Day,
initiated by Equally Wed, a lesbian and gay wedding magazine. So far,
nearly 28,000 people have signed up to attend.
Wow, that’s a lot! I’m going to go ahead and predict that National
Marriage Equality Day is going to be very successful. And that
somehow
it’s going to “counter” the thing that happened last week that they
didn’t like, via some process that has yet to be explained. I figure it
was called Supporting Businesses By Giving Them Your Money,
which is pretty much how our society operates. I don’t get how that
“counters” Chick-fil-A’s sales.
It’ll also be amusing to see if the people who dismissed the Chick-fil-A buycott will change their tune.

+24ROFLMAO!!! Is this not typical of the utter ignorance of the Liberal Left? My understanding is that STARBUCKS has "BEGGED" the LGBT NOT to have a "special day" at their places of business!
SIMPLE to understand why!!! Lately, any GAYS threatening to KISS in a place of business would be a certain "Kiss of Death" for that business! :) LOL

Best coffee I ever had is from a local place that roasts its own beans, called Java Moose... I love their dark roast, called Foghorn. I must admit, I've only tried Seattle's Best at Subway, which I'm pretty sure offers a light roast... just tastes watery. I only prefer Starbucks over Seattle's Best because it happens to taste more full (unfortunately, burnt, though).
Thanks for not taking my criticism of their coffee personally. I came off kind of bitchy.
The Seattles best I have had, I bought the Bagged and ground it myself..
Last Time iw as in Seattle, I did Go to a Seattles best, and it was Not that bad, but it was outside the Airport out by Issaquah, WA where I was Building a Home Depot.......
Nope Did Not come off that way at all...
When I go Into any of these Coffe Shops, I order the Coffee of the day with 2-shots....Expresso
Coffee of the day with 2-shots...
or if making at home..for a twelve cup maker, 4-of the Cup measurers...which is like 3 table spoons...each cup...
They are NOW Forcing Their Will and Views on Us...
So get over it.
Sorry sorry sorry.
Did not take it any other way...lol~!!!
So I won't be going to Starbucks.
But, their prices got exorbitant and their quality started going downhill. My girlfriend and I that always go to coffee on Saturday can get the same thing at another shop for $4 bucks less. I don't want to support ALL their employees!
Chicken Rules!
All the Chick-fil-A owner did was state that he was in favor of the traditional definition of marriage, i.e. that marriage is between one man and one woman. He didn't attack equal rights for gay couples, civil unions, or anything else, yet he is attacked as though he had done all of the above. Since when are people in this nation not entitled to their opinions on political issues?
