SANFRANCISCO.CBSLOCAL.COM reports:
An upcoming trial in Sonoma County could determine the legality of buying and selling medicinal marijuana over the Internet. In April, Santa Rosa Police arrested 43-year-old Krish Singh after setting up a marijuana purchase from his Craigslist ad, which offered high-grade marijuana for $2,700 a pound, according to a report in the Press Democrat.

Nope. There are enough pot-heads driving intoxicated, all we need is a weed whacked world wide web. Bad enough government (EEUU) wants to destroy the internet, but to leave it's remnants scattered with drug addled Apple Fanboi Democrat Druggies is intolerable.

sorry , you are sadly and badly misinformed, pot smokers are not known for being active, in fact that has been one of the right wing criticisms of , pot smokers they sit around, eat and laugh

Well then, no worries about driving while intoxicated... or legislating while intoxicated. And a note, this isn't a right wing/left wing discussion. It is a common sense discussion related to activities while intoxicated. As far as I am concerned it doesn't matter what distracts you from focusing on driving or legislating, etc.... Distracted is distracted. And it seems that only those who favor (e.g. actually smoke pot) it are those who defend it. That seems about right as far as a correlation goes, but shouldn't it be more about what is safe? Sitting around eating and laughing is safe while intoxicated, driving, operating equipment, surgery, etc.... all and more are things not safe while intoxicated.

I don't care if mj is legal, it seems no more harmful than smoking or drinking, all cause damage to some degree (especially smoking... no matter what is smoked, after all burning weeds aren't good to the lungs).

It's safer to get in person , easier to know you're not getting rip-offed , to know you're getting the right stuff , etc.
I mean , I would rather buy from a dealer I trusted than from some random ad on the interwebz.

Why NOT??? Any/all prescription medications are available online (some are highly addictive or even deadly (marijuana is neither) as are alcohol & tobacco. (both are far more harmful/destructive than marijuana) It's time we DEMAND & not ask our government employees/servants repeal or modify all existing drug laws. If they refuse to submit to the will of the people, perhaps some peaceful civil disobedience is in order?

Releasing all non-violent marijuana drug offenders from our prisons would keep many dangerous criminals from getting early releases.

The trial is not to determine if selling medicinal marijuana online is legal or not, only the legislature has the power to make that decision. But it obviously is illegal or the guy would not have been arrested for it. The trial is only to determine if the guy is 'guilty' of violating the law. Nobody is going to bother releasing him because the drug laws he violated are unethical. The sooner we repeal these laws the better.

I dare you to go anywhere and find corn that hasn't been pollinated by genetically modified corn pollen. Now if MJ were legal it would be no better. Instead of individuals and cartels, most of whom are so remote they don't hurt me, I'd have a mega corporation that saw profit in MJ begin polluting my backyard, my neighbor's backyard. And if not, they'd grow it like Monsanto does soy beans using glycophosphate poison that is destroying the health of its workers in third world countries.

I liked the happy grass that made people and myself make up songs and poems while laughing so hard tears would run down our cheeks. Acapulco Gold and Gainesville Green were my favorites 'til I started getting stuff treated with hallucinigenics and who knows what else?
  • Jon Ramón 2012/09/16 04:50:48 (edited)

You're right . We're probably safer with buying it from the "criminal dealers" however it can be treated with other drugs. Maybe if we could purchase it at Health Food Stores that aren't contolled yet by the FDA. It's a natural product..

I don't think you meant to reply to me.... but if MJ were legalized it would be expensive, not less expensive because of taxes, and then the FDA would regulate it for a "minimal" amount of THC and the street stuff would be like illegal cigarettes. The government goes after that stuff harder than for hard drugs.
  • Jon Ramón 2012/09/18 06:22:03
    Jon
No, I didn't mean to reply to you.,,, It would be expensive and the FDA would approve and let Big PharmaI put in really cancerous and worse causing things kind of like they do now. I did not understand your original post but now I do.

marijuana should be fully legal, and once it is people should be able to sell and buy online. Obviously, I fully support there being an age limit

I believe there should be face to face transactions with proper identification to make sure the substance isn't being sold to the wrong person. There are already issues arising from purchases of alcohol over the Internet, and I think the freedom to smoke marijuana has enough obstacles to overcome without being irrational and supporting something like Internet sales.

if a people can kill themselves by taking all the meds these doctors prescribe them and can get so drunk they have to crawl to their car and then wreck and kill other people. then we should be bale to smoke pot and it will not kill us ar make us so drunk we cannot walk or drive.
