Solar plane makes 2nd attempt in Morocco flight, will solar power win over the Koch Brother's agenda to poison the earth?

Solar power win over the poisoning of the earth by oil emperors like the Koch Brothers
Oil emperors like the Koch Brothers will retain control over the earth and continue to poison the earth till all life dies.
Mitt Romney has joined the oil emperors like the Koch Brothers to control of the population and poisoning of our world
If given a chance, Solar Power will bring power back to the people

We can use clean energy and not go to war over oil. Fracking is poisoning America. TaTa Motors, in India, invented a car that will come out next month run on compressed air. How clean is that?

Yea lets throw billions of tax dollar money into solar companies, just to watch them crash and burn, wasting billions of dollars.

Wait a minute, didn't somebody just do that......Oh yea...

We need to lower the population.
I'm very angry the door has been slammed on the discussion of the problem of overpopulation.
That is the only thing that will change our planet for the better.

Solar energy will be one of the decisive alternative and renewable energies, combined with many others. It is one of the great findings.
We mustn't forget hycraulic power (namely dams), tidal power, geothermic power, wind generated power, the recovery of power from production plants and incinerators, for instance, specially conceived equipment and rooms for sports, recovering the power from movements and body temperature, other energy saving technologies in diverse sectors, biogas and also hydrogen to replace oil in the transport sector, and there are many more.
Programmes and projects with increasingly sophisticated prototypes and means are running nearly everywhere in the world. They are driving toward improved efficacy and miniaturisation of energy procucing equipments and instruments.

You know, solar power would already be up in running by now and we would be totally modernistic if we hadn't allowed the oil industry to suppress the imaginations in the early 1970's when the technology began. We can't keep feeding this 110 year old oil industry. Look at what it has done to our economies. Look at how it suppress's our incomes. Our imaginations. It's time to say "bye-bye". Hell, we would have been racing full size electric race cars by now if we hadn't fallen to the bs of the oil industries in the early 70's. Screw the Saudi Arabians only export. Screw the Koch Bros "world, oil market". They're screwing us. Can't you feel it? Oh, if you can't you're dead anyway.

You're delusional. The first production oil well in the US was drilled in 1859. In the 153 since then the petroleum industry has pushed technology to the limits of human imagination. Transportation, heating, electricity generation, carpet, medical supplies, fertilizers, etc. ...hell, the keyboard you're typing on this very minute is made from a petroleum product (plastic). Almost all of the R & D was financed by the PRIVATE sector.

The first solar cell was built in 1883. In the 129 years since, they have tried dozens of different materials and designs and they are STILL decades away from anything that is powerful and AFFORDABLE. Any action by the oil companies to suppress solar energy in the 70's has been canceled out by the hundreds of millions of our tax dollars that the government has pumped into their research in the last 30 years.

Not to mention that any solar solution requires rechargeable batteries for storage. Guess what? Most of the minerals that are used to make the batteries are NOT plentiful in the US. So you're trading one non-renewable resource that we don't have much of (oil) for ANOTHER non-renewable resource that we don't have much of (currently Lithium). Instead of selling our nation's soul to the Arabs, we'll be dealing with the Bolivians.

So this toy plane is barely strong enough to carry one man 341 miles in 17 hours? That's a whopping 20 miles an hour. Looks like we won't be saying "bye-bye" to the Koch Brothers or the Arabs in our lifetimes.

Element Zero (Atomic Number 0, Chemical Symbol Ez), also known as 'eezo', is a rare material that, when subjected to an electrical current, releases dark energy which can be manipulated into a mass effect field, raising or lowering the mass of all objects within that field. A positive current increases mass, a negative current decreases it. This 'mass effect' is used in countless ways, from generating artificial gravity to manufacturing high-strength construction materials. It is most prominently used to enable faster-than-light space travel. When humans discovered the Prothean ruins on Mars, they also discovered refined element zero that the Protheans had left behind. It enabled research into FTL ship drives before the Charon Relay was discovered.

These are dangerous places to mine, requiring extensive use of robotics, telepresence, and shielding to survive the intense radiation from the dead star. Only a few major corporations can afford the set-up costs required to work these primary sources. Some planets have small eezo deposits or coalesced around a larger deposit during their formation. While these secondary sources are safer to mine, the yield from the ore is not as large. There are rumours that the Nemean Abyss has particularly rich eezo deposits.

Dust-form element zero is often released after engine accidents. It is used by many species to influence or strengthen the presence of biotics. If a child is exposed to dust-form element zero in utero, due to its mutagenic effects, there is a small chance they can develop eezo nodules throughout their nervous system that react to electrical stimuli from the brain. This allows them to use biotic abilities, but many exposures have no effect, or result in terminal cancer. There is some question about just how 'accidental' some of those initial exposures were, after the link between eezo and biotics was established.

Element zero forms the basis of many advanced medicines throughout Citadel space. The biotic drug 'red sand' allegedly has element zero as its base — according to urban legend, it was created by criminal triads on Mars from the eezo samples recovered there. The SSV Normandy's massive Tantalus drive core cost 120 billion credits because of the amount of element zero needed to power the stealth system.

    -.- Trekkies....

Having an Atomic Number of 0 is quite possible, but it also means the absence of an element (simplified). So there is nothing to play with at all no matter whatsoever never mind it being Dark Matter/Energy or whatever the hell you want to call it. We find element 0 quite a lot in vacuums.

Go to your physics classes in future.

E = M*C^2 and as yet nothing not even the theories of Dark Matter contradict this.

Solar will eventually be efficient and cost effective enough to be really useful. Right now it costs to much to install for homes unless you make a lot per year(which I don't). As for use in transportation...area of panels required to move one person is too high to be useful. Maybe in another 20 years.

Well then we better get to it. Imagine how far along we'd be had we started that direction back in the early 70's? We'd be flying solar. Racing battery. Driving solar or oxygen? Who knows the technology we would have been inspired to create. Look at what the oil boom caused for residual creations? Man, we'd be there.

True. And it's not like the technology isn't there to make better and more efficient panels and systems. Just that the oil and gas industries keep it pushed back because they don't want to lose business.

Solar power is only good for a few apps, but there are other sources of energy better than fossil fuel. But the price of oil/gas is dropping rapidly and I believe that electric and hybrid car sales have a lot to do with that.
