OK point one. 2008 and 2009 were Bush's deficit wise. Obama's didn't take effect until Sept. of 09. The recession in the beginning was stated as being a 3.4% contraction in GDP it turned out to be 6.8% which is huge and in 2008 alone unemployment went up 3% in just one year. They are truely amazing numbers. The stimulus stopped a depression but wasn't large enough to keep unemployment down below 8% as they had hoped because the recession was twice as bad as first thought. 3.4% vs. 6.8%. So you lose 8 million jobs in a recession meaning a double wammy. First you have 8 million more people collecting unemployment and food stamps, and other government help causing the deficit to skyrocket. Second you lose all those taxes from those 8 million non working people also increasing the deficit by a good amount. All these things had nothing to do with Obama but the economy from 2008 on. So once again I will tell a conservative numbers are nice but it's the situations, circumstances and facts behind those numbers that tell the "whole" story, the "real" story.

Campaining and doing are two different things for one reason. You have an opposition party trying to derail everything you try and do. As for the stimulus that wasn't suppose to be 1/3 taxcuts but it ended up that way in order to get 3 lousy republican votes to pass it. Your party has no ideas. If it isn't a taxcut they don't know what to do so they say let it fail. If I hadn't any ideas I'd say let it fail too. Economists now say the stimulus stopped a depression by putting a bottom under the recession. They also said it wasn't big enough to reverse the recession. i can say one thing. God must like America because He didn't want a republican in there at that time that had no ideas besides taxcuts and spending cuts during a recession. opponent to withdraw and having a "carpetbagging" candidate, another Black, Alan Keyes to run against him in the last few weeks of the campaign. (not too unlike the dirty campaign tricks he used to win a seat in the Illinois legislature). 0bama has a long history of dirty tricks and unproductive sevice: so how would anyone expect his campaign for and his service as POTUS

You know i didn't like Bush's policies at all but I never hated the man I actually liked him but I thought his policies were all for the wealthy and it bothered me that he could give 1.6 trillion in taxcuts to the wealthy but when congress with some republican support wanted to expand SCHIPS to cover another couple of million children with health insurance Bush vetoed it twice because he said 33 billion was to much to spend but nearly 1 trillion for 2 wars, 350 billion for drug coverage for seniors and 1.6 trillion in taxcuts mainly for the wealthy wasn't too much to spend.

As for the deficit of $5 trillion you mentioned almost 3/4's of that is recession related and that's left over from the previous president and you know it if you are an honest intelligent person.

Well Obama isn't in the congress or the state senate is he? And how many times did you hear me bring up Bush's time as Texas governor? None because as president what he did as governor is not relevant. If I mentiond anything about Bush it had to do with him as president.
