So really? Is obama the worst President ever?

Artist~PWCM~ 2011/10/25 15:03:41
I've been on SH about three years now and I've heard both sides of the story. Bush did this, obama did that. Though I put obama squarely on target with my many negative comments about him, not to mention a very lengthy list of epic fails of my own let's think about this. If the economy hadn't tanked like it did, would obama really be the worst President ever? I personally think he is and Carter would agree with me, lol! But that's just my opinion.

So clear your mind, take a deep breath and imagine the economy running along as before the big failure. What would you really think about obama then?

BTW, to my conservative friends, this is not a post to give obama approval ratings as much as it is to get people to really THINK about him as Presidential material. From what I can tell, the Liar-in-Chief is desperate and has pulled out the plugs with his dirty bag of tricks. Bad economy or no, obama stinks on ice!
You!

His presidency will go down in history as one of the worst. There has been no cataclysmic event to distract his policies. He had the full support of the House and Senate for two years and squandered it with very stereotypical liberal philosophical policies that have no history of ever working. His Middle East policy is a muddled mess that now has all sides shooting at us instead of just the pro-Israel people. Our space program is in complete chaos. Our economy went from bad to worse with the first ever ratings downgrade in the history of the country. In all cases, he's shown a preferance to unions gettig money as opposed to a company's ability to create jobs. A lot of his TARP money went overseas with no guarantees or assurances they would ever create the first job. He's instilled class warfare as a political tool that is accomplishing nothing but creating class stress in a time when unity is desperatly needed. Remember all that "division" under Bush? This is much, much, worse, and intentional. He routinely circumvents the US Constitution in a practice that is dangerous as hell ( see today's headlines re housing policy ). He has on several occasions moved private sector industries into government control. And, the things people Jack's Pearl cite as being bad by Dub...

The Patriot Act being the most notable. With Bush, foreigners had a lot to be nervous about. With Obama, Jack has a lot to be nervous about.

Obama sought out the office when the enconomy was still hot and rock'n, he was I believe the first candidate to file to run , in 2006.

It is my contention that he was running to do exactly what he would elud to during the campaign, "to fudamentally change America". The economic crisis blew up during the campaign.

I'm sure he thought the bad economy was going to be the ticket to ride straight into the Whitehouse, which I believe it was for him. Obama and his advisors have grossly misjudged the depth of the crash, and even worse have no clue how to fix it. This has bogged down the real reason for his being there.

That is why when we were at our highest unemployment he focused on the government forced health care, Oh he told us in his state of the Union address, "I"m going to focus like a lazer on jobs for Americans" and then that week same went on a whirlwind tour pushing his health care plan.

He continues to focus on things that are related to changing America at it core, while purposefully fostering divison between the "have's & have not's" , he and his team of advisors and cabinet members are play a shell game with the Ameican people.

I still think Carter is the worst President of my lifetime. But Obama still has time on the clock. Let's review the misery index in November 2012 and see if Obie can close the gap on Carter and win an early retirement package.

No...the last 10 years of leadership in this country has been dreadful both Republican and Democrat. I don't see that changing anytime soon no matter who is sitting at the big boy table come 2012.

I would not say that Barack Obama is the worst president in United States history. When you look back in history at some of the past presidents you realize that they did things that were much worse. However, I also believe that we can't point the finger at person for our country's problems. That means you can't just blame George W. Bush for the economic downturn because it's obvious that one person can't cause the entire economy to go downhill. It relies heavily upon other factors, when I think of who is to really blame for the country's problems it's usually Congress. Regardless of being in Democratic or Republican control, Congress always seems to be out to screw the citizens of this country.

So, no, I don't think Obama is the worst president, but I do feel that many of his promises have been left unfulfilled. At this point, unless a viable third candidate steps forward, I will most likely not vote next year. I've realized that our politicians don't care about us, they just care about what they themselves think and therefore I refuse to vote for someone from either party.

While he may have been handed the worst economy of any president (although I would argue that, that claim probably belongs to Roosevelt) This is not an excuse for his actions. For example, the economy did not force him to sign to extend the very parts of the patriot act he campainged against.
